Honestly, the fact that FNAF have gotten reactions with people getting tired isn't surprising, no matter how good they are. Too much circulation makes the price of something go down. Sometimes one has to create value through scarcity.
To quote one thing that sums it up, "Everything in the world depends on absence and presence. A strong presence will draw attention and power to you - you shine more brightly than others around you. But a point is inevitably reached when too much presence creates the opposite effect: The more you are seen or heard, the more your value degrades. You become a habit. No matter how hard you try to be different, subtly, without you knowing why, people respect you less and less. At the right moment you must learn to withdraw yourself before they unconsciously push you away. It's a game of hide and seek."
There are other things covered on this big time, but anyway, producing so many games so fast is why the reactions are had. It's pretty much psychology.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.I must disagree, The Five Nights games, while reactionary, are short enough that the time frame they are released in, while also short, can be considered reasonable.
Also every iteration changed the mechanics to a significant degree while still maintaining the core concept: Keep those goddamn animatronics away. Most people would point out that the second one is the lowest quality one.
And frankly, as long as there are youtubers who entertain. these kind of games will always be popular, Though I have to ask myself how the fuck scott hasn't burned out on this already. I mean. jesus. That guy does what I've known lesser artists to melt down about.
Also Five Nights is cheaper than a trip to mcdonalds. Which ignoring globalization triggers that other effect related to supply and demand.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I think it's just a naming issue. People think it's too much to release four games in a franchise within a year, but if Scott would've just called the later installments Expansions or DLC, it probably would've been a fair game.

I cannot understand how people can get mad at Scott simply for releasing them faster. It's not like any of them cut corners or have bugs or anything. If someone is willing to work hard on a quadrilogy of games and can release them faster than most major triple-A companies release one sequel; you say 'thank you' and you don't complain.
Never mind he does set more reasonable release dates (original halloween date, anyone?) but he tends to overestimate time it takes for him to complete a game and instead of sitting on it and waiting for hype to die out, he puts it out when it's done.
It does help that, on mechanical level, games are quite simple. Biggest challenge would be getting triggers and animations to work properly.
I kinda feel like saluting the guy xD *salutes*
He's a good guy and he makes good games. Except for some of his christian games; some of those looked awful.
Very nice. I especially like his mention of Markiplier.
Speaking of which, one thing I raise an eyebrow at his enjoyment of Markiplier; he's no stranger to cursing in his videos, and I'd like to know Scott's reaction to that, especially when it comes to his kids. Maybe his kids watch edited versions, replacing them with bull-horns, cymbals and the like?
Considering people unlocked virtually everything in this game in 2-3 days It took people a minute to find 20/20/20/20 mode, a 3-4 month release cycle seems alright to me.
Most of the derision is from people that don't play nor care about the games.
This is a complete subject change but Fredbear's disembodied head doesn't scare me as much as it should. Why? Because he looks like a cheeseburger.◊
It's been 3000 years…I would say Teethburger, but I get what you mean.
Happy meal with extra Happy?
Gil Kenan, director of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, has revealed some details on his twitter.
-Film is still being written, so no release date yet.
-It will be an original, untold story in the F Na F universe (he hinted it might relate to the Bite of '87 in some way). It will be canon to the game series and adhere to established lore, while answering some questions as well.
-Freddy and the others will be actual animatronics, not CGI.
-Scott Cawthon will play the Phone Guy.

Something funny but interesting to note about those Christian games Scott used to make. Those games were heavily derided for having human characters straight out of the Uncanny Valley. One of the criticisms was and I quote They look like robots.
You can see were the idea of FNAF first started. After that I think he saw the Chucke Cheese shootings, built Bonnie, and just went from there.
I thought that was common knowledge. It is funny and interesting though.
Hopefully the movie animatronics behave, and don't...ah, get mischievous with the cast.
What exactly might you be referring to? Stuffing them in suits? Walking around the set at night? Biting people's heads? Giving them the wrong pizza toppings?
Yeah, real animatronics is exactly what I wanted from the movie and I'm interested to see the 'making-of' special feature about them (because they can't resist making that).

There choice of using actual animatronics in the film could produce some interesting results.
They'll likely make it so the the animatronics look like they could theoretically hurt someone but no actual harm could be done by them in real life. I am honestly curious as to how they are going to program them in the first place.
Looks like we can breathe a little easier about Warner Bros not screwing up the whole thing.
Hopefully.
So we'll be seeing a new night guard in the movie. Markipiler, anyone?
Somebody once told me the world was macaroni, I took a bite out of a treeThat would be perfect.
My various fanfics. But we already have the musicals for that.
Also, the Aviators have returned.

It's been 3000 years…Man, all the good stuff Happens when I'm gone.
They're going to use real animatronics for the FNAF film? That's awesome! It's nice to see more movies using real props instead of CGI. I wonder how they'll look in real life?
I might go see this if the Commercials make it look good.
Plushtrap doesn't appear until later nights hmm? Perhaps plushtrap is representative of the nightmares getting so bad that the kid is even terrified of his own plushie.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.
