Deadpool

This is the best comedy movie I've seen in years.

Best selling romance movie of the year.

Does it really count as a romance?

Yes. Absolutely. The whole heart of the film is the relationship between Wade and Vanessa.

Something came to me. Well, something that came to people's mind during the movie but only came to me now.

Near the climax, when Dopinder's taxi crashed, the car was carrying a kidnapped man and enough gun to equip a small platoon.

Dopinder is screwed.

Say goodbye to Deadpool for now, North America.

It was in theaters for that long?

Yeah. Folks still wanted to see it on big screens rather than on home media, and Fox wanted their money.

You know, it surprised me how subtle some of the product placement can be in this movie. A lot of it is blink-and-you-miss-it territory.

Speaking of which, I love how Colossus was eating Grape Nuts. That's just so Colossus of him to do.

The sequel will be released on January 12, 2018.

I see that it's on Google now, but what is the actual source for that? Was it announced officially?

I saw it on IMDb.

Usually a reliable source. They get scoops that have got a lot of actors in trouble because studio bosses have told them to stay quiet about them landing roles, only to end up seeing the film and their roles pop up on that site.

Listened to the full version of Deadpool Rap.

Holy crap, this might just be one of my all favorite character songs from any media.

So, aside from Cable, are there any other characters you'd like to see in the next film(s, hopefully)? I'm hoping for Domino and maybe even the whole Six-Pack. Personally, I like the overall lower deck feel of mercenaries in superhero universes. They're basically punch-clock heroes or villains (or both, depending on who's paying), more or less like The Expendables writ large. I think there's plenty of unexplored territory in that regard, not to mention how they need neither origin stories more complex than "super-soldier experiment #", nor any particular reason to duke it out among themselves. As far as action goes, their stories practically write themselves.

IIRC, Taskmaster's tied up in the Deadpool film rights, so use him. If he isn't going to show up in the MCU, at least do something else with him.

I know he was (sort of) in the first one but I would love to see more made of Bob, Agent Of Hydra (though he probably won't actually be an Agent of Hydra, because of copyright stuff.)

Something I noticed (well, read in comment section) that was kinda neat, when they play X Gon Give It To Ya, and the lyrics get to "stainless steel", it flashes to Colussus.

Other way around. Taskmaster is with the MCU, or at the very least is not with Fox. The writers of Deadpool thought about using him but were told early on that they didn't have access.

Sequel characters, you say? Well, I wanna see more of Blind Al. She was great. I also really wanna get T-Ray at some point. Ajax was a great Starter Villain, but man, I'd love to see Wade's arch-enemy show up in live-action. Especially if he's a Knight of Cerebus like in the comics.

Bob, Agent of "SHH, here come Disney's lawyers" should pop up again. He was funny.
