How does that suggestion illustrate the trope any better? There's no indication the trope is in use at all.
I vote keep the current.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Not a great image by any stretch, but it's slightly more than just text or JAFAAC, in that she's a traditional housewife, who traditionally handles dangerous and mysterious implements such as ovens.
Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Check out my fanfiction! The way the type is written has all kinds of style. Pretty strong keep.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Strong keep.
Current is good, even if text-dependent. The suggestion is worse in my mind.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCurrent picture is fine, but I wonder if the comic◊ suggested in the Tim Taylor Technology thread might work better. Also, the particular example might need to be moved to this page, as it fits this trope more than it does Tim Taylor Technology.
That comic is very good!
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Downside though, is that I can't see how we could get it to work without using the entire strip.
I think that panel 2+3 or 2+4 should work fine.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! We can't. And I disagree that it's more this trope than Tim Taylor Technology

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Really? I think it'd work fine with just the 1st + 3rd or 2nd + 3rd panels.
Isn't Oven Logic a cooking subtrope to Tim Taylor Technology? At least, that's what it says in the latter's description...

Suggestion is much more texty even if by proportion it has less. Speech bubbles: no semantic content at all. Current: color of type, color of background, and typeface all contribute to semantic content.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. This is at the clocking point, but since the consensus is that the current is much better than the suggestion, I'm going to go ahead and lock this as a keep, and tag the page accordingly.
The image on Oven Logic is literally a JAFAAC: there's a face visible in the corner of the image, I think of some girl holding a binder but I'm not sure what she has to do with the trope; then the image contains a HUGE caption that could be a page quote, except that the current page quote does a better job. Motion to pull.
Possible replacement.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
