Enter's gonna enter I guess
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl Pilkington...that's what she said?
Anyway the parts where he actually reviewed the cartoon were decent, all the jabs at You Tube felt so forced and honestly dude. The part where he defends PDP actually had me going, "Really?"
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. It's pretty clearly a delusion. I get that the advertising bot might be gun-happy as it is an algorithm but in the video it feels like he's using it to deflect any criticisms of himself as some sort of 80's moral guardian or whatever stereotype of tumblr is in today.
Oh and I guess he's using words like virtue signalling so I guess we can look forward to more of this. Great.
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonA lot of YT'ers, even otherwise sensical ones have been doing the same because of the whole WSJ fiasco has been "bad for business".
I think it speaks extremely poorly of them that they're blaming YT/other people and not well, PDP for doing something stupid.
His political views aren't reactionary but some of the things he's said have been well...dumb, if I'm blunt. He considers himself a centrist but he doesn't seem to really understand that when he criticizes "the left" he's talking mostly about an irrelevant fringe that doesn't matter. It reeks of him falling into Golden Mean Fallacy.

Once again, there are loonies on both sides, "irrelevant" as they may be.
There are loonies in the center, too, make no mistake.
At least his little tangent about YouTube and WSJ alongside the constant potshots was semi-relevant, given he's at least presenting it like the entire review was done as a reaction to censorship policies.
What I'm more baffled about is the tangent in the middle where he goes off about colleges being pointless or something like that. Given past videos, I get the impression he's really hostile towards the idea of college...
This sort of rambling is better reserved for his "further thoughts" style videos than being interjected into his actual reviews, anyways, so I can't say I'm fond of this one. The minority of the video was actually about the cartoon in question, and even the bits where he was talking about his issues with Little Clowns of Happytown (i.e. the use of Inspirationally Disadvantaged) still found their ways to loop back around to poking at YouTube policies.
As for the cartoon in question, it seems to be oh-so-sickeningly-diabetes-inducing. It comes from an older time so I feel like I can cut it some slack for being misguided, though. Not like we haven't improved on handling those sorts of morals since than, ah?

Indeed, I'm getting a little tired of Enter's pseudo Edgelord shtick.
@Grounder: Difference is one's "loonies" are the leaders currently in the White House, and one are a small insignificant voice that barely anyone cares about.

God I hope this stops soon.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Oh great, he's hopping on a bandwagon that's stupid as heck. Fun.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Wonder if he is gonna go full Jon Tron.
Doubtful. Enter has too many morals to go full on white supremacist.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Ugh...
Can we please not have this discussion and risk a thread lock?
That'd be like the third time for this one...
This discussion isn't turning particularly nasty, I don't see why it would necessitate a lock just yet. It's less heated than the Jon Tron and Pew Die Pie ones.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?No question about it, I like watching people yell about bad cartoons, but when it's buried under a grudge about dubiously-defined "censorship" that's mostly just people saying "hey, don't be a weird racist" about a mile deep, it's...not particularly enjoyable.
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller listNoboby wants to talk about Challenge Accepted, his new video game channel where he does...challenges?
I haven't seen it.
As for the review itself: I don't think it was that bad. I didn't really mind the whole running gag throughout the whole thing.
I can see why it was annoying for some people, though.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! The whole thing kinda gave me the impression that he really doesn't understand the meat of the issue and is looking at it in too much of a vacuum. No one is asking for things to be completely sanitized. No one is demonizing YouTubers for the sake of being YouTubers—the people being dragged by this point are celebrities, like, actual celebrities, maybe not in the traditional sense, but they absolutely can be considered celebrities due to the amount of audience they have. And when you've reached such a celebrity status, PR is absolutely important. These people have committed PR disasters, and the press dragged them like they would any other celebrity, not discriminating YouTuber or TV star or movie star. Arguably, the fact that the media is talking about You Tube stars in such a way is a win for new media, as it is being treated with the seriousness and gravitas as old media now.
To say nothing of how none of this matters with regards to the cartoon he even reviewed, even with the framing device he used to launch into the review.
Also, holding up the Wall Street Journal as an example of leftism gone extremist in a "so much for the 'tolerant left'" kind of way...Enter knows that WSJ is a super conservative paper, right?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I don't think he does. I think the only reason why he is joining in is that it can potentially effect him.
Honestly, the cynic in me thinks he's only doing this for attention.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? The only way it'll affect him (aside from the advertisers pulling out of You Tube making people like him lose money) is if he fucks up royally, and he doesn't even have an audience big enough that it would make this kind of impact.
Nah, I get the sense that he genuinely stands behind what he's saying, just he's misguided.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I don't know, I just feel like the guy needs to come off it before he makes himself look even stupider. Enter has a big issue with going off about stuff without thinking first, and this is something that he needs to work on.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
So, here's Mr. Enter's thoughts on The Legend of Korra:

Never underestimate the importance of an open mind and compassionate heart.
