Apparently we can't criticize jokes without mick getting offended.
Can we just forget them?
Where there's life, there's hope.Apparently some people really don't get that there is a difference between what you can do and what you should do.
Basically: Legal vs. Ethical
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I've read the Constitution. Freedom of Speech is not freedom to say whatever you want. There's limits.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Very true.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! After watching the two best adult cartoons in the present day (Bojack Horseman and Rick and Morty), it's just made the recurring problems with Mcfarlane's works that much clearer.
He always goes after low-hanging fruit, making the most predictable, generic shock value jokes you can imagine. A lot of the time the jokes are just like "what?" or "HAHAHA I'VE TOTALLY NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE HEEE HEE" (like that Sarah Jessica Parker dig, because nobody's ever done that before). And I can never really take any of the drama in his shows seriously, which to be fair, they're mostly about the jokes in the end. Which is fine and all unless your jokes aren't funny.
There might be some Seinfeld Is Unfunny at hand, but after seeing Bojack Horseman's suprisingly biting drama and complex characters and Rick and Morty's extremely creative plots and gut-bustingly hilarious jokes, Mcfarlane's works just have so little bite in comparison.
(And yes, I know his input and writing varies depending on the show, and that he isn't the one solely to blame or praise for their quality, I'm just making a general statement since they share a lot of commonalities).

I still don't understand the point of the Randy Newman joke from that one early Family Guy episode (Da Boom, I think?). I've listened to plenty of Newman's music, and nothing he's done is anything to do with the parody of him.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?- Phineas & Ferb Admirable is next, at least for now.
- He's a fan of Lola Loud, and once he does a Loud House admirable, it will be one about her.
- "The Choices" from The Amazing World of Gumball is also on the admirable list.
- The recent Steven Universe episode he's doing is "Bismuth"
- Admirations from the Web 3 going to happen.
- And of course, Ledgends of Chamberlain Heights is the next atrocity. After that:
A Tattler's Tale, maybe? That was the episode that got me hooked on the show. I think Lana and Luan are my favorite sisters overall, though.
Re: Seth Macfarlane... this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think he's a talented guy who can be funny when he really tries. Hell, I didn't even think that the latest season of Family Guy was all that bad.
And regardless of what you think of him as a joke writer, you have to admit he's a pretty awesome voice actor, singer and songwriter.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I mean, Enter even agreed that he has talent as a voice actor. Personally I feel that his humor is best when he's restrained. Look at the stuff he wrote for Dexter's Laboratory or Johnny Bravo.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I agree.
Hell, I even like American Dad, kind of.
American Dad is kind of the Futurama to Family Guy's The Simpsons. I don't know how much involvement in the writing Seth has, but it definitely is of a higher quality.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Apparently, MacFarlane sole writing involvement in American Dad was the pilot.
Just a person. He/him.I think people just hate Mac Farlane as a show writer when he's not writing for kids.

Mc Farlane is sort of like George Lucas in that he needs some sort of tether because without a restraint he just produces crap.
There is an old saying where, despite what conventional wisdom might tell you, restriction doesn't inherently lead to flimsier, castrated products. In fact, restrictions can be a creative ground for ingenuity because it forces you to think outside the box and forces you to think up more clever material.
Seth, without a harness, just goes for the obvious low hanging fruit and shock humour rather than anything remotely clever or actually funny.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceSome creators do fine with little restrictions because they're self-critical or just have very solid ideas and can consistently execute on them.
But it's natural that most people aren't that way, necessarily.
They gave it a second season? Why?
Moonbeam City was a lot more expensive and also not funny, but wow.
Moonbeam City looks pretty at least.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. And Pan Pizza from Rebel Taxi liked it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I thought Moonbeam City was okay.
Huh, that show is surprisingly just really really boring rather then just atrociously horrible.
Well we do have the Nutshack next so there is that.....
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothI really hope he does cover Bob's Burgers at some point. I can't be the only one that realizes that poor Bob is Surrounded by Idiots (yes, his own damn family included) and Jimmy Pesto needs to die.
