Harada could just pick a cute anime girl villain.
Or Taokaka. She's weird enough to not be stereotypical.
I doubt we're getting a weapon user.
TBH ASW is a terrible fit for Tekken. And I say this as someone who likes their games.
Slayer, Jam or Azrael would be the only fitting ones.

Maybe Bullet. Or Makoto without the tonfas. Or Tao without the zipping around and slashing moves.

More anime magic power bullshit
yay
his fighting style doesn't stand out too much at least. Unlike Geese and Akuma they gave him a proper Tekken work over.

Noctis over Cloud should steam people's peas. :V
Mileena MadnessA Final Fantasy character in Tekken is about as out of left field as the TMNT joining the Injustice cast.
I like it.

Still comes off as less weird. Plus he's on his cell phone a lot so he'll fit right in.
I quite enjoyed Noctis and friends' Entourage-esque romp in 15 so I'm down.
They are really teasing the Soul Calibur fans at 2:05 with that intro graphic, announcer and font.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! They also shoved in a Fate Grand Order Actor Allusion joke in the end.
Consideirng how much anime has been in tekken for a long time (It is a Japanese property, after all) I'm fine with Noct's style, though he probably fits soul calibur more then tekken.
Watch SymphogearHoly fucking shit. I'm so ready. Hopefully he isn't broken as fuck though.
He's not a hand to hand martial artist is my problem, and if they wanted to dig into the Final Fantasy pool they had Sabin, Tifa, or even Gladiolus, who uses wrestling moves as finishers in his DLC chapter. I know we've had a few other magic users like Claudio and some of the boss characters, but Noctis would fit in with Soul Calibur a whole lot more Tekken considering his strong emphasis of weaponry.
Noctis being a better fit for Soul Calibur seems to be the universal consensus from what I'm seeing, but alas, I think the Soul series is dead in the water at this stage.
Sharks have been jumped. What a garbage pick.
Noctis, huh? It's definitely a surprise. Would have gone for either Cloud or Lightning myself
Remember when Gon was a character? He literally came up to everyone’s knees so you couldn’t punch him.
Or the possessed training dummy?
Noctis is downright sane in comparison.
There's really no point in continuing to promote Lightning at this point since her game is old news. Noctis is the current lead so that makes sense.
Cloud is arguably the better choice since he's the series' most iconic lead, but he's been so overexposed that I'm glad he didn't get picked. Noctis' more real world look also fits the aesthetic of the game better, IMO.
But he's not a martial artist and his fighting style doesn't fit in at all. Even Lucky Chloe, Lars, Akuma, etc. still mostly use punches, kicks, and martial arts. Aside from some Reppukens Geese fits in just fine, too.
While I actually love that Noctis is in and it almost makes me want to finally purchase 7 instead of constantly borrowing it, I'm finding myself agreeing that he feels tonally different—especially when compared to the other guests—and would maybe had fared better if there was a big Soulcalibur title for him to jump into (I say "maybe" because I remember people having a fit when the technologically advanced Star Wars characters popped in as guests in that series, beloved though they may be; I can't see Noct avoiding the same backlash they got for being in a Souldalibur game). I also agree with the idea that Tifa, not Cloud, would've made better sense, which would've helped build up on that VII Remake hype a little (even though we still have no idea when that game will be out), though I know that SE would never allow that (can't see them not using the main hero, after all).
That said, from a flashy standpoint, Noct makes a big impression, which is probably what they were going for with this reveal. And his connection to Lars almost implies that they're aware off how ridiculous it is to have him appear in Tekken. So I can't not love it.
...I keep seeing comments saying things like "RIP Kiryu". Now, I haven't been paying attention to how the guests are being chosen/handled, but I thought there were multiple companies providing the guests, and while I heard that Tecmo and SEGA were supposed to be the next reveals, I can't see how a Square-Enix rep suddenly means that SEGA is no longer giving Tekken a guest.
Kiryu makes way more sense to be fair. Plus it fits right in with Yakuza 6’s domestic release and Kiwami 2.
Only 3 guests were promised, so Noctis is, as far as we're all aware, the game's final guest.
Ah. Well that deflates my enthusiasm (at least now I understand the more negative reactions to Noct better), Kiryu was one of the ones I was hoping for.
Every guest has been a villain so far. Wouldn't put it past him to throw in a cute anime girl, but I doubt that'll happen.
