Merlin scoffs at your mundane non-magic swimsuits.
Hey, so another one of those fanbooks is coming out on the same day as volume 22. Could be interesting, clarify the spellings of some names and stuff.
I'm interested in the Ten Commandments bios.
Spoilers.
Simply being near Escanor is enough to feel the heat that would make the armor melt.
Once Escanor confirms the direction of a nearby lake with Ban,he blows Estarossa off there.
He hits the bottom of the lake with the sunball and the lake and it explodes there.
The lake entirely evaporates. When Estarossa recovers from the damage,Estarossa: "Shall we settle this right now?,"Escanor: "β¦I agree solely to your comment.",Estarossa envelops Escanor's sunball in the darkness and repels it with Full Counter.
β¦or it would look like he did but there's still over 1 hour to noon."My attack doesn't work on you? Who decided it?".Estarossa's pectorals get cut up in one horizontal stroke.
"You enveloped my sun? Who decided it?"Escanor plunges his hand in the darkness and takes out the sun even bigger than before it got enveloped.
"The one who decides it is me."Zeldris is trying to be of assistance but doesn't make it in time!End texts: "A merciless attack that even reduces love to cinders!!!""Escanor's almighty attack that burns Estarossa to nothing!!! The duel of titans ends here!!!!"
To be continued in chapter 186 / Defensive battle at Liones.
Secret SignatureSERIOUSLY!? UGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!
If Estarossa dies from this, Nakaba has proven to me that he can't write his way out of a wet paper bag.
Though, "defensive battle?" That's interesting. Maybe the demons do turn the tide.

Mileena MadnessEscannor is indeed the mightiest. So mighty that he even managed to kill my interest in the series. Someone call me when it stop sucking his dick.
So much salt. I find this cool. Escanor feels like a Toriko character to me, or alternatively, an homage to Nakaba's previous work in Kongo Banchou, its why I like him so much. Plus, who's to say Estarossa didn't already have a counter to this anyway in the chapter after.

Watch SymphogearWhy else would the next chapter be defensive. Also guess we can't have our own opinion nope everyone has to be an Escanor fan or leave...
Mileena MadnessTo tell the truth I've long been concerned that, much like with Kishi and Madara, Nakaba's made Escanor so strong that even he doesn't know what to do with him.
This might be a surprise to you, but not everyone likes Toriko or how it's written. Saying this is being like Toriko is hardly reassuring to me.
I'm also very feed up with the implication that if you aren't all for the hype you should just shut because Escanor's obviously a great character no matter what.
Obviously this isn't over, but from the sounds of things this is going to leave a bad taste in my mouth even if they do end up beating him.

I think I'm going to go on break until Diane and King are Commandment-level. That's what it'll take to prove to me that Nakaba actually has a plan rather than just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.
Don't worry then can fight Dolor and Gloxina...*They get beaten by Escanor*
Mileena MadnessEven if I were to take this at face value - and I don't yet - I would say that this just means that Zeldris must be stronger still.
Zeldris was afraid of the 30X Revenge Counter though.
That doesn't mean Estarossa is stronger, though. His commandment stopped that attack.
Zeldris was overall treated as more prominently, so that could be a thing, although that just could have been because he wanted to keep Estarossa more mysterious.
The moment I see the spoilers, I knew exactly how people will react here.
Anyway, yeah, I'm not seeing where Nakaba is planning to take this to...or well, if he even has a plan at all.
This series has felt very...disjointed ever since the 10C arc began. Very different from the Liones arc, which is coherent from start to finish.
Well, I've said that we probably complain too much about Escanor here, but in most places I see it going in the exact opposite direction, without really taking kindly to anything less than "Escanor is awesome in every way", so it gets very frustrating.
And I also agree that everything before the Ten Commandments showed was more concise. I understand why it's different but that doesn't make it any less noticeable.

I got no beef with Escanor. I'm gonna see what happens before I destroy any character or assume the series has gone full Naruto.
One Strip! One Strip! For the record, I do love Escanor hype and go "PRAISE THE SUN" whenever he kicks ass. He's the perfect embodiment of Awesome Ego.

I hate whoever started the stupid PRAISE THE SUN thing. (Chibi reviews, I think, which is fitting because I never really cared for him anyway.) But, also for the record, I don't actually mind that people like Escanor. I get it, it's just...tone it down so that it's not so obnoxious.

I love the Praise the Sun meme being used for him.
Praise the Sun comes from Dark Souls's Solaire.
It wasn't Chibi, it was because of his sun based powers that fans of both made a connection.
And implying because I like Escanor because of his Toriko styled hype / Homage to Nakaba's own Kongoh Banchou doesn't mean I said no one else had to like it.

Watch SymphogearI'm aware what it means, that's why I like it.
In truth, while Escanor is definitely the most jarring indication of the series' "disjointedness," he's not the only reason I feel this way. Others include:
- The fact that we still don't know how to un-petrify Merlin.
- The fact that we still don't know how to un-mindwipe Diane.
- The fact that Matrona is still such a mystery.
- The story's superpower system still being really vague.
- A Tournament Arc being set up and then quickly discarded.
Normally I would say Gowther here is me but I actually like the beach so for once I guess not.
