Preferably a later date, and mostly only NP Cs will get to have their powers 4+ years ago. Speaking of, the leader of the villainous Conduit faction is a natural Electric Conduit named Cornelius Hawking whose powerset is mainly based around the Miscellaneous group. His most frequently used moves is a Super Lightning Hook/Tether (shoots out a cluster to wrap around something, and there's a variant with Grenade tips), Super Gigawatt Blades (frequently combos it with Hook/Tether to skewer people when he isn't extending the blade six feet), Super Drain (has enough precise not to kill his underlings), and Telepathy (frequntly done as he drains a person dry). In general his Drain is rather speedy and reaches quite a bit, he can Thruster with his feet, and has an ability called Energy Homing (when falling or sent flying he can make his body home in on sources of electricity).

Sounds like the kind of guy I would annoy to death. My death, but still. Either way, I've gone ahead and updated the charater.

Cool! Is sign-up still open?

Name: Edward Armstrong

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Type: Natural

Element: Gravity. Manifests itself as a dark haze. (Think of the Yami-Yami-no-Mi from One Piece, without the power absorption ability.)

Style: Edward may seem coolheaded and laid-back on the surface, his mind is anything but. Diagnosed with ADD from an early age, it took many years of training for him to rein in his focus and fleeting attention span. At his core, he is a caring individual, treating others with respect and good will unless given a reason not to.

Edward is a close-to-mid-range fighter, and at its core, his fighting style is designed to knock the opponent off-balance, pin them to the ground and make sure they stay down. In combat, Edward can currently use his powers to repel enemies with a gravity blast, subdue opponents by binding them with gravity restraints, and increase the weight of his weapon and body in order to boost his physical attacks/decrease his weight to launch himself into the air and float down safely. (1 blast and 2 misc.)

Edward's energy sources are heavy objects. However, these sources have to be within a certain size-to-weight ratio; too small/light, and there will be too little energy. too large/heavy, and he won't be able to register it as a power source (that is why Edward can't use the earth itself as a giant battery). Examples of good gravity sources are things like statues, car engines (specifically the engine block), and heavy machinery. Edward can also regain a small amount of energy by gliding/falling from 90m or higher.

Belongings: Wallet, mobile, backpack containing water bottle, camera and other misc. items, tungsten collapsible baton.

Appearance: Short dirty blonde hair, brown eyes. Dressed in a plain t- shirt, charcoal hoodie, cargo pants and hiking boots. His baton is stored in his jacket's inner pocket.

Backstory: Growing up, Edward led an average life: He was doing well in University, he had a good relationship with his parents, and his biggest worry at the time was passing his math exam. But a month after the New Marais incident, Edward's powers suddenly activated when he began leaking black mist, and the steel ruler in his hand suddenly tripled in weight.

Things went downhill pretty quick after that. Due to the fear generated by DUP propaganda and the aftermath of the Beast's attack, tensions were high, and those suspected to be conduits were often beaten to the point of hospitalization, or worse. Edward received a call from his parents, saying that his mother was also a conduit, and she and his father were currently on the move, avoiding the DUP. After revealing his powers defending a close friend of his from conduit-haters, Edward dropped out of University, and began drifting around, hoping to find a place where he can settle down, and to find news about his parents.

I suppose signups would still be open, but there's not enough players.

May I be of assistance with that? Is KSPAM still interested in this?

  • Name: Matthew De Los Cielos
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 18
  • Type: Natural
  • Appearance: Varies clothing-wise, but he prefers to wear a t-shirt and shorts with athletic shoes for mobility. He has black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin from his Filipino-Spanish heritage. He's not fat, but he's not athletic ("The six-pack is almost visible!"). He works out enough to appear reasonably muscular at 5' 9".
  • Element: Air. The one good thing Matthew has thought about his powers is that he's watched enough Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra to know how to use it.
  • Personality: For the most part, Matthew is a bit of a jerk. Still, he's at least a quiet jerk (if still sarcastic), and one that doesn't actively go out to ruin peoples' mood. He's personally haunted by an inner conflict on what to do next with his life, and becoming a Conduit has not made it easier on him. He doesn't want to hurt people with his powers or lord it over them, but he will retaliate when pushed.
    • Fighting Style: He fights by evading his opponents to exhaust them, then moving in to swiftly retaliate with nonlethal attacks. He's not above breaking bones and the like to protect others, especially those who he fears will be harmed because of him.
  • Belongings: Matthew will always have an unsharpened pencil to twirl around, his smartphone, earbuds, wallet, and shades.
  • Backstory: Matthew was just the usual smart kid from a rising upper-middle class family, earning good grades in high school and trying to figure out what to do with his life. He was struggling with taking on the possibility of not attending college. Then one day he pulled a cup to himself with a burst of air. Now that he's a Conduit, Matthew is now trying to figure what to do with these powers with the times he lives in, practicing with his powers just in case he's outed as a Conduit.
