It's like they tried to cram every stereotypical anime trope they could get away with into two different trailers.
Also the tentacle rape animations being recycled at least 4 times over almost 2 minutes. This can only be a deep, engrossing video game.

The combat system seemed a little stiff and geared towards pay 2 win. Mainly that everything you do costs durability and I presume you can buy your way around this issue.
Yeah, one guy said he died after three to four hits and you have to buy more stamina I assume. I can only guess what kind of perverted otakus made the character designs as well. They seem VERY stereotypical, but I guess clothes don't always make the game.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI tried playing it after reading the site's manga (and their promo vid for downloading the game was surprisingly hilarious in the dialogue department), but it feels like a clunkier version of Dragon Nest. The concept seems good, but it isn't executed well at all, although that may just be because I only played an alpha/beta build. And yes, there are plenty of signs that suggest it'll be an Allegedly Free Game, but who knows. Maybe the devs/publishers are planning to mitigate that feeling.
Partying with a band of NPC characters seems like the main appeal, but if you're at all familiar with common Japanese Visual Arts Tropes and characterizations, then none of them really stand out or are particularly inspired. I do like some of the character designs though, mostly Susanoo's.
I personally feel like this game would work better as a standalone action RPG or something, not an MMO.

They'll probably try to extend to that region after they gain enough support to make one. Even then, what's the point?

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice...Are you picking a fight?
No! Not in that way! I'm just not an avid RPG gamer.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWelp, today's the official release of the service. Who's interested in playing this one? I know I won't due to connection speeds.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWell, the 'best' less pay 2 winny game Cyberstep has would have to be C21, the english version of which was closed but in the english version it was more pay 2 win than the Japanese version.
In Japanese C21 you can exchange in game money for 'metal' every month which mitigates having to buy metal with real money. If you know what you are doing in C21 you can build very powerful bots without paying any real money. Paying real money doesn't more than a couple feet if you don't have at least decent knowledge in how to build your bot. But knowing what you are doing and having the disposable income to roll on the real money lotteries until you get exactly the right stuff makes the leaders in pvp.
Never played it, and all I understood was "There's metal".
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceTwo days since the initial release. Is anyone checking it out?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNot really. :P, checked the beta, not interested.
The sex sells ads with that naked catgirl with two colored eyes and hair censored by text or a towel they are using doesn't help either. They show up on my browser a lot.
Yeah, it's like they took the fanservice of Senran Kagura games, and raised it up to eleven(Or mabey they're the same level of fanservice IDK).
Still, this seemes more... "subtle" than say Scarlet Blade.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWhich says nothing.
I was interested in this game before it launched, but then I saw how horrendously disproportionate the character designs were. I immediately lost all interest.

Could there be any way for them to make this game less P 2 W and more like what it's advertised to be?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThis game's advertisements are everywhere. I'm so desensitized to that Catgirl's breasts its not even funny.
Its generally a bad sign when your game's advertising is based almost entirely around fanservice.

Everything is Possible. But some things are more Probable than others. JEBAGEDDON 2016That's the problem with Sex Sells: it's usually effective. For every one or two people who complain about it, there are probably twice as many others -if not more- who get interested because of the advertisements. They apparently figured that using the skimpiest (and dumbest) character of the cast would work better than the other girls, let alone any of the other characters.
At least the ads aren't a front for a spyware program (hopefully).
Since I still have the game downloaded from when I tried the beta, I'll probably look at it again to see if my opinions will change on it.

Not that I mind a little Sex Sells :3. But Onigiri kinda pushes it over the top.
The only thing I actually had time to observe from the site is the manga, which isn't too crappy.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceEvony! That was the game these advertisements were reminding me of.
That being said Onigiri's advertisements are at least related to game that their advertising, so they are vastly superior for that fact alone.
By the way has everyone seen this?
What amazing dialogue.

Everything is Possible. But some things are more Probable than others. JEBAGEDDON 2016Looks like they got rid of the tentacle rape one.
Yeah, it's on the site. Why couldn't we have just had this as an anime only or before turning it into a half-ass beta mmo?
There was a tentacle rape one?

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceLooks like it'd make just as mindless and shallow an anime as it does a video game.
Yep. It might still be on the site, but it was basically some weird snowman-esque creature inexplicably covered in tentacles molesting the female half of the cast.
There's nothing explicit shown, but it's still as tasteless as it sounds.

Oh come now, you say that as if those animes don't already exist.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice
I'm sure we've seen the ads for this game before on here, and I for one have to say: this seemes "interesting".
Not much to it but fully customizable characters and classes, not to mention it's one of those "eye candy anime inspired" online romps.
I don't know why some would say this a "Freemium pay-to-win" game like Cosmic Break, but I like where this is going. it's also coming out on PS 4's library of RP Gs.
Your thoughts on this one?
