I should probably leave this thread to avoid Book 2 spoilers. Looking forward to the game.
What I'm wondering is if Platinum's story will actually be accepted into the official canon, or will it be treated like the other Avatar games and disregarded as nothing more than cheap cash-ins?
Considering the one of head writers is writing this, it's likely to be canon...
Watch SymphogearI have my fingers crossed. The A:TLA game, burning earth was... erm...
Well, the fact you can unlock all the achievements in the first 5 minutes is an indicator of its... quality.
The fact that it tried to tell the story of the show was its main drawback, I think. By the sounds of this, they're telling a new story, so they won't be shackled by the episode beats, which is good.
I still think that the Avatar universe deserves an open world game, with a system akin to Jade Empire. Or a combat system similar to Oni. But I'm a pipe-dreamer...
The Wonderful 101 also wasn't multiplayer.
What it was was pure awesome.
It was multiplayer. Albeit in a separate mode, but it was multiplayer.
I have a message from another time...I have a feeling that this is probably going to be how the writers are going to wrap up some of the dangling plot threads from the first two books that weren't handled as neatly as they maybe could have been. Like, there's Equalists and Mecha-Tanks. So. Presumably this might go slightly into the thing where the Equalists wouldn't just go away overnight.
I hope the Lieutenant comes back.
Based on the trailer, we might also be dealing with Dark Spirits again. Which is weird, given Korra beat up Vaatu in Book 2. Based on how Book 2 ended, I'm hoping regular spirits will be a thing. Not as enemies, just. Y'know.
...Kinda weird how Probending is gonna be a thing, given Korra and Mako, at least, probably have other commitments.
Wait, how are Mecha-Tanks still a thing, given I'm pretty sure Asami owns all the old stock? I mean, I guess someone might have stolen them. Like Varrick actually did.
Asami's dad owned a pretty damn large company. It's not too implausible to say that they might have had another factory elsewhere in the world that was taken by the Equalists and refitted to produce the mecha-tanks.
Here's hoping Activision stays the fuck out of Platinum's way.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Hate to break it to you, but it's Activision. There is no way that is going to happen.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Actually, it was Nick that approached platinum, and told Activision they wanted to have platinum make the game.
Watch SymphogearI think Activision is just sort of the company Nick goes to in order to publish their Avatar-verse games. What with Nick/Viacom not having their own in-house game publishing department.
Good to know that Nickelodeon has good tastes in game developers - at least for this franchise. Now, if only they showed that sort of good judgement for their others franchises... say, Invader Zim or the Iron Man animated series? Lots of potential for those too.

Hope this doesn't end up like Mad World.
That just ended up being a token "violent" Wii-exclusive.
Token as in only M rated wii game?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI'm not even sure how these are comparable.
Umbran Climax◊If this ended up M-rated, Nick would want the heads of everyone involved on platters. I doubt it's going to be M-rated.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.BUT THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES!!!
If you want a taste of the possibilities of how bloodbending would work in an M-rated game, check out Skarlett in MK 9. Just saying.
"Great Scott! Send in the Doomsday Squad!"IGN has the first official footage of the Korra game in action.
Very, very Platinum.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Someone help me think of a punny title that involves both Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Legend of Korra.
There's one there somewhere.
Oh really when? How about you just stick with Korra Rises?
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!
I wasn't disagreeing with the notion there was a shop, I was stating why I didn't think there was a shop.
multiplayer superhero RTS
The Wonderful 101 was not an RTS.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...
