I am interested in playing a master.
will try and come up with character once I've finalized stuff.
I.....sorta want to do a Master, and sorta want to do a Servant (I've got ideas for both), but I don't especially want them to be on the same team, so we'll see how that happens (mostly because I'd rather bounce off of another player than write interaction between two characters of mine).
EDIT: Also, is the 'only heroic figures' rule in effect or not in effect (I ask because I'm trying to do a Fate project on and off, and the normal Grail only being able to summon Heroic figures tripped me up a little)?

Heroes and Anti-Heroes are allowed so anything mostly goes.
And, for completeness' sake more than anything else, I assume that only the 7 base Classes are allowed?
Hmm. So in theory, we would want 1 of each Class and then a spare Saber or Caster or something. Maybe drop Assassin? *musings on party composition*
It's all up to you guys. I'll be making a Servant too, to help things along.
Well you know I'm on board as always.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial- Class: Assassin
- Master:
- True Name: The Black Dog
- Gender: Mutable
- Height/ Weight: Mutable
- Alignment: Neutral Evil
- Appearance: Pretty pooch◊
- Personality: An unrepentant monster that hunted humanity in the dark of the woods since time immemorial. A being of the same nature, though far lower status to Primate Murder, a beast whose purpose is to cull at the growth of humanity and defend the pride of the beasts of nature. An existence whose purpose is utterly anathema to Alaya. A proud denizen of the woods whose weapons are fear, darkness and prime bestial strength. Still, while their pride mostly makes them show their disdain for humanity, they do have a sense of respect for the enemy which eventually brought about their end and do have the cunning to seize the opportunity to work with a human to have their wish come true. They are also curious about the chance to learn about their enemy from within and thus take any chance to explore average human life.
- Likes: Meat, Human Meat, Fear, Night Time, the Moon, lazy naps under the sun, hunting, eating, singing.
- Dislikes: Steel, great numbers, cowardice, traps, fire, perfume.
- Stats:
- Strength: B
- Endurance: C
- Agility: B
- Magical Energy: C
- Luck: D
- Noble Phantasm (Rank): B
- Class Skills:
- Presence Concealment (B): Highly adept as masking both their status as a Servant as well as making their presence disappear to avoid detection. However, this ability does not work as well in urban environments, due to their unfamiliarity with such locales. Thus, while they can hide their status as a Servant there, hiding becomes harder unless they have a proper hiding spot or a crowd to draw attention from themselves.
- Shapeshifting (C+): The ability to modify ones body and change the shape one wears. In their natural state, Assassin can turn into any canine shape they can think off, even those of monstrous wolves not possible by nature. This ability also allows Assassin to transform into their most hated enemies, humans. An ability which spawned tales of mysterious strangers taking people into the woods never to be seen again.
- Monstrous Strength (A): Increases Assassin's strength Stat as long as they don't mind showing their wilder side. Interferes with Shapeshifting and the longer it is used, the more Assassin reverts to a beastly shape.
- Death Bringer (A): A mind affecting effect which lowers the Endurance Stat of Assassin's targets by one rank for as long as they are facing the Black Dog as an enemy. It manifest as the sheer threat of death that a man slaying beast emanates when out for the hunt. Negated by Bravery and other skills which negate mind affecting skills.
- Otherworldly Senses (D+): Possessor of the improved senses of a canine, able to track my scent, hear keenly and have night vision. Funnily enough, they are unable to distinguish colors unless they take a humanoid form. However, their nature as a phantasmal species allows them to peer into the minds of regular humans to glance at figures which embody their fears and desires. It is this skill which Assassin uses early on to settle for a human form which pleases their Master.
- Noble Phantasms:
- Terror of the Night - That Which Stalks The Dark
- Rank: B
- Type: Anti-Person
- Assassin's only NP which works in a two fold manner. The first might be treated as a passive and Assassin's 'weapon'. This manifests as a dark energy seemingly made of shadow taken physical form. This reinforces Assassin's naturally strong coat, fangs and claws to the point of becoming Noble Phantasms, capable of clashing with the weapons of a human. It also allows to use shadows to extend the natural weapons of a beast and to use manifestations of shadows to attack the foe at a distance. However, once activated it reveals Assassin's trump card... allowing the monster to transform into a manifestation of pure fear and death. Should the target fulfill two conditions, the NP obtains more effectiveness. The first is to not have the skill of Bravery or some other which impede mental interference. The other is to have a figure of fear or a figure which they truly do not wish to face. If these two conditions are fulfilled, Assassin takes the form of its opponents most feared one, reducing the Strength, Luck and Agility of their foe by one rank. Should they not fulfill these conditions, Assassin merely becomes a shadowy monster with increased Endurance by one rank.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Hmmm. Too bad I'm too heavily committed elsewhere to sign up for this one; I've only been through F/SN's three storylines, but those were enough to give me ideas for a certain Servant. She'd have to be Archer-class as the closest thing that fits, she runs on the power of loophole abuse and basic demographics, and, well, depending on the opinion I might just stat her up and leave her here for the GM/other players to do things with. I am pretty certain nobody's taken this approach to making a Servant yet.
I mean, as much as I'd like to play her, I'm potentially overcommitted as it is, and the fascination for me is in writing stats that would reflect her historical capabilities (and then potentially letting her loose).
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. If you'd want to slide me a Servant I could use for another team later, send it via PM!
It's not the Sign Up sheet I posted, but since I'd rather not force you to redo it - Accepted.

PERSONAL
- Name: Ogier the Dane
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: SABER CLONES ALWAYS◊
- Personality: An embodiment of chivalry and of knighthood. A person who prizes fair treatment of all above others and has an intense dislike for 'enemies of justice'. Ogier is a fairly fun person to be a round - though rather talkative from a certain other Paladin's influence. Always interested in seeing how new things work, especially since coming to the 'modern day' than the supposed Avalon that Morgana invited them to.
- Likes: Having fun, codes of chivalry, a good fight.
- Dislikes: Treason, liars, enemies of justice.
Bio: When Ogier was born and before they were baptized, they were kissed by six beautiful women, each bestowing a 'gift' which ease kiss. The first was 'to be the bravest warrior of these times', the second was 'opportunities to display valor', the third was 'pray that you (Ogier) will never be vanquished', the fourth was ' the gift of pleasing' and the fifth was a 'gift that allowed sensibility to return the love that you (Ogier) inspire. The last one, Morgana, promised to Ogier that they will 'claim them' as her own. As to not to die until they can be claimed by Morgana themselves. After being born, Ogier was educated to be the perfect knight. Everything was stacked so that they would be the perfect hero.
When Ogier was sixteen years old, they were sent as a homage to king Charlemagne (more like hostage) and taken into the Charlemagne's court. She was placed in charge of Duke Namo of Bavaria, a friend of his father, who treated him like a son. As time went on, Ogier became more impatient to become a 'true knight'. They tended to the older knights, wanting to become just like them.
Later on, battles broke out in an effort for the enemy to siege the capital of the Christian world. Ogier, along with many others, participated in the fighting even though they were simple squires. They put on the armor of their fallen comrades and carried themselves into battle. After the slaughtered ended, Ogier and the fellow knights showed themselves as the squires that fought. It says that upon the revelation, Charlemagne and the fathers of the soldiers that fought wept tears of joy while the emperor embraced Ogier in a tender hug.
The rest of the day afterward was spent in celebration and in one particular instance, Ogier was presented with a sword with the inscription "My name is Cortana, of the same steal and temper as Joyeuse and Durendal." This was when Ogier received the legendary Split-Sword.
Later on a man who saw Ogier fighting while wielding the Oriflamme challenged him to a duel. Ogier would've replied but was interrupted by a knight named Charlot. However Charlemagne allowed the duel to take place.
Charlot, angered that his word was not heeded, committed treason by gathering up knights in black armor to attack Ogier and two Saracens. Lest to say that the attack failed and ended up with Charlot's death.
Later on in Ogier's life, she would go on many journeys and the blessings of the fairies would show themselves. Eventually his journey would 'supposedly' end with his death and return to 'Avalon' just as Morgana had intended. However, that doesn't seem to be what happened…
- Class: Saber
- Master:
- Alignment: Lawful Good
- Stats:
- Strength: B
- Endurance: B+
- Agility: B
- Mana: C
- Luck: A+
- Noble Phantasm: B
- Class Skills:
- Magic Resistance - Rank B
- Riding - Rank A
- Personal Skills:
- Protection of the Fairies - Rank A
- Instinct - Rank A
- Battle Continuation - Rank B
- Noble Phantasms:
- Name: Cortana
- Title: The Split-Sword
- Owner: Ogier the Dane
- Type: Anti-Unit
- Rank: C+
- Effect: The split-sword given to Ogier the Dane by Morgana but forged by the man named Munifican. It is a blessed flat-edged blade said to have been cut off by an angel to prevent wrongful killing. The sword is capable of being formed like a 'serpent' for fast strikes from afar and from a medium range. It maintains the classification of Anti-Unit for that very reason. It is capable of wide-slashes like a serpent's tail, or waving around like the ocean waves. When formed back into a single strike, it is then suited for melee confrontation again.
- Name: Cortana
- Title: The Glorious Sword of Mercy
- Owner: Ogier the Dane
- Type: Anti-Army
- Rank: A+
- Effect: A blade created in the same vein as both Joyeuse and the sword Durendal. However, unlike the other blades, Cortana is also a miracle forged by the hand of the faeries and the smithing of Munifican. Calling its name requires Cortana to be in its lashed out form. When called, a surge of white light will run up the unconnected sword's blade. The once broken point becomes a red-hot tip meant to pierce those who would challenge Ogier. It is a manifestation of the honor that Ogier holds so dear. It's a powerful weapon made to smash away powerful foes. It does not blast off the energies like the other blades of its kind, it instead manifests them as a weapon itself. The sword loses its ‘serpentine’ effect as a blade, but its range increases substantially.
- Name: Sauvagine
- Title: The Sovereign Sword of Justice
- Owner: Ogier the Dane
- Type: Anti-Unit
- Rank: D-B
- Effect: A second blade forged by Munifican and given to Ogier. It is a blade not comparable to Cortana in both legend and in make. It’s a blade that focuses the ‘sins’ of the person its being used on into the tip of the sword and driving it into the enemy at full force. This really only works well against people of the ‘Evil’ alignment or of the ‘Chaotic Neutral’ fashion. If used against people of the ‘Lawful Good’ or ‘Good’ alignments, its powers are going to be considerably weak.

Aaaand stat sheet submitted via PM for an Archer-class Servant I'll only refer to as "Edith", in case the GM wants to use her in a surprise capability for or against the players.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Oh god, you're starting another one.
I'm in.
I'll probably regret it but I'm in.
@Ragna: Yeah, but the D&D player in me is telling me strongly that covering all the roles is a critical detail - Four Sabers, two Lancer an Archer and an Assassin does not a balanced team make.
Also it sorta derives from the fact that I have interesting options available for me from the Servant perspective for every class except Saber, though my preferences lie toward the Lancer, Caster, and Rider options (though I will say that the Caster sucks, but is a bit of a favorite of mine).

That's assuming you're all running one party, though. Besides, given the spread of skills possessed in the original F/SN, two or three Servants working in conjunction, plus even one or two competent Masters, would be enough to take down almost any threat. (Don't forget that a lot of Masters are very competent mages in their own right.) A full adventuring party of Servants, now? That's the sort of party you assemble to knock over the continent of your choice.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Fate RP? I'm in for dat.
Just gonna think of a proper servant/master.
EDIT: Alright, lemme start with a bang. This post will contain a Servant. A Master will follow soon once I find something suitable.
SERVANT
- Name: Goliath of Gath
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Isn't he cute?◊
- Personality: There's not much left of him once he was hit with Mad Enhancement. Once a proud if arrogant warrior that wished only to serve his home and bring it glory, now he's naught but a bloodhound that searches for his Master's opponents and pursues them without a hint of understanding or disloyalty. His will broken after rather humiliating defeat at hands of David, he's surprisingly passive for a Berserker although his monstrous form alone makes up for it with its sheer prana drain. He's truly the embodiment of what Servant was supposed to be - the perfect puppet without whimsies or doubts.
- Likes: Fighting, Loyalty, Sunbathing
- Dislikes: David, Slingshots, Treachery, Tricks
- Bio: The mighty Goliath of Gath was once the finest of Philistines there were. Towering over any other warrior by a wide margin, he was the first to strike fear in hostile hearts and inspiration in his allies. The first to carry a standard of Philistia, he was the one chosen to be the leader of mighty army that was to conquer the Israelites. Their forces clashed in the Valley of Elah where for forty days straight, twice a day, Goliath would issue a challenge for someone to face him in single combat. None had responded as the giant of a man emitted intimidation from far away. To them he was terror incarnate. Finally someone did respond to his challenge: a mere boy with naught but a sling and a couple of rocks. Goliath laughed in amusement, but this arrogance led to his downfall: against all logic and reason in what could only be described as divine intervention the single slung rock downed the mighty giant in a daze despite the mighty armor he wore and the shield that could resist an assault of a hundred men. Shortly after David cut off his head, but not before Goliath, in his last act of defiance, cursed the gods of all kinds for his misfortune and humiliation, reserving an especially powerful kind of hatred for his killer, the inconspicuous shepherd boy... Who knows, maybe Goliath will be given way to fulfill his revenge. In one way or another.
- Class: Berserker
- Master: TBA
- Alignment: Lawful Mad
- Stats:
- Strength: A
- Endurance: B+ -> A+
- Agility: D -> C
- Mana: E+ -> D+
- Luck: E -> D
- Noble Phantasm: C
- Class Skills:
- Mad Enhancement: A
- Personal Skills:
- Scourge of the Gods: A - Goliath's inherent hatred for things that made him a laughingstock and robbed him off his life allows him to strike at those who claim godhood with a force that could only be compared to divine, the glorious irony. When striking enemies whose rank in Divinity is C or higher their effective Endurance is reduced by a rank.
- Innocent Monster: B - To many Goliath is naught but the very symbol of paganism and its destructive nature that aims to erase Judaism and/or Christianity and his monstrous imagery well portrays that.
- Monstrous Strength: C - A giant of a man standing at "six cubits and a span" which translates to 2.97 meters/9'9'' Goliath's ferocity of an attack was something no other man could achieve. At times of dire need it provides him with a half a rank of STR boost.
- Aura of Terror: D - Striking fear into hearts of mere mortal men with his mere presence, Goliath often used himself as the very way of breaking enemy's morale by just standing there. As he approaches the effects of this aura intensify though Servants and anyone with even remotely decent magic resistance can negate the effect without trouble.
- Fallen Colossus: EX - While David's stone had an impact on Goliath's death it's safe to assume that what really killed him was the sheer amount of shame he endured in that moment. As such if one were to use a magical weapon made of stone or attack with such a projectile its psychological impact alone would be enough to send Goliath reeling... if not killing him outright. This curious effect also extends to normal stones, be they flung or thrown. Upon striking Goliath they act as if they were E-ranked magical projectiles, just enough for him to feel it.
- Noble Phantasms:
- Armament of the Philistine - The Way of War
- Rank D, Anti-Unit
- Goliath's signature spear and shield. Due to having long forgotten anything but hatred and shame in this state of mind they are out of his reach and cannot be materialized by him to use.
- Heart of the Philistine - The Way of Glory
- Rank B, Anti-Unit(self)
- Goliath's mighty armor that had mutated and corrupted itself into something far more menacing to the point it became one with its owner. Made of seemingly not magical junk that covers almost his entire body, most notably his arms, legs and back they are able to nullify or even outright deflect attacks of Rank C and lower. They also act as his actual weapon, enhancing his already high Strength with a power of steel plating. If a part of Goliath's armor falls off or is otherwise damaged beyond repair he can replace it with something metal, with his Master's assistance to provide prana so that Goliath and the metal piece can merge into one.
- Armament of the Philistine - The Way of War

grahInterest!
GIVE ME YOUR FACEAccepted.
1) Interested. 2) Might make an Archer or a Caster, you prolly know who they are respectively Rags. 3) Master will come with, following my tradition.
I, for one, welcome our new Basketball Z overlords. All hail The Generation of Miracles! (Aomine is the best though)Wait a sec, gonna drag my Musashi signups up from the last threads.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground... *KSPAM rubs hands together evilly*
- Name: Kazanari Rui-ling
- Age: 16
- Appearance: Him during the Elysium sales pitch (his usual outfit)
- Gender: Male
- Personality: A troublemaker. More to come on his personality soon once I'm done with class and once I think of more ways to say "little shit" and "Joseph Joestar expy"
- Abilities:
- Mystic Eyes: Rui-ling possesses Illusion type Mystic Eyes, a rarity in those of non-mage descent. They manifested at birth as a result of a naturally-occurring random mutation in his Magic Circuits, similar to those that occur in ESPers. This further suggests a connection between Mystic Eyes and ESP, although no conclusive research has ever been done on the subject.
- Stage Magic: Rui-ling may not be a true mage, but he is a practicing street magician, and knows a lot about sleight of hand, trickery, stage work and pyrotechnics. He is especially proud of his ability to make fireworks from just about anything that will burn.
- Magic Statistics:
- Circuit Quality: C
- Circuit Quantity: D
- Circuit Composition: Abnormal
- Origin: "Trick"
- Element: Fire and Wind
- Bio: A street rat who signed up for the Elysium Project with the promise of free room and board in mind. He's a textbook case of a mispent youth, a scrappy street urchin who refused to use his natural talents to excel legitimately, and instead chose to become a pickpocket, a con-man, and a two-bit street magician with a few special tricks. Rui-ling signed up for the Elysium Project during a bit of a slump in his slumdog millionaire lifestyle (he got the crap kicked out of him by some people he owed money to).

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial- Name: Izayoi Maverick-Creed
- Age: 18
- Appearance: "Come on now, it shouldn't be that bad, now should it?"◊
- Gender: Female
- Personality: A girl that never really talked much and never extended beyond herself. She sought strength but was clueless on how to obtain it. She was kind, giving, and courteous without being known. Eventually she grew out of this. She started helping people more openly. Izayoi talked much more and learned to smile. Then it turns out this is what she enjoyed most. That was a prime driving force as to why she wanted to learn magic - to help other people that needed it. While she's not as naive as a certain Master from a Grail War long passed, she is just as kind.
- Abilities:
- Adept Swordfighter: Very good with the two blades that she carries as weapons.
- Mystic Code - Tatsutato: A blade specialized by a perfect Mixed-Blood human from the past and used to draw the prana out of blood to weaponize it, which optimizes the use of the weapon and of the body. By drawing blood from the body and focusing it through the blade, an effect similar to Prana Burst is realized. With quick, powerful strikes and the manipulation of visible prana, Tatsutato becomes a sword on par with a Conceptual Weapon.
- Black Keys: Was taught in the usage of Black Keys by the executioner Malcolm.
- Reinforcement - Self: Capable of reinforcing her body to levels where she becomes a devastating opponent.
- Reinforcement - Objects: Can reinforce objects, such as weapons or furniture.
- Gradation Air: Capable of producing simple blades or furniture if no other weapons are available. Of course, this magic is practically worthless in most situations.
- Magic Statistics:
- Circuit Quality: C
- Circuit Quantity: C
- Circuit Composition: Normal
- Origin: Hope
- Element: Ether/Air
- Bio: A once shy girl much like her mother, but grew up much like her father. Izayoi was always someone that wanted to reach beyond herself but never knew how. She bugged her mother and father to teach her magecraft. Without a crest or preceding research, there wasn't much she could do. However she found a tutor in a man named Amar Carson. He was as old as he was wise. She was taught Reinforcement of self and reinforcement of objects, as well as basic knowledge of Alchemy and Familiar creation. Now she continued practicing the sword under her father and her 'grandpa' Malcolm Blythe. Her style is uncanny in that it uses two swords. This was taught to her by Malcolm - because he apparently knew something about Miyamoto Style swordplay which was the same last name of her father's former friend. Peculiar that, but now she's ventured to Armistice Isle to partake in the Elysium Holy Grail War to uncover its secrets and to prevent another disaster from occurring.

Accepted.
The years have passed since the Archwood Incident and that chaotic Grail War. The Grail had been shut down, removed from there, the families disbanded, punished, and locked away. Their secrets went with them.
Or did they?
The Archibald Corporation still had its funds, its science and magecraft at its disposal. The nightmare couldn’t be revived, could it?
No, not at all. The Archibald family went under, its secrets and its corpse being desecrated by those of wealth and fortune. A new player came to the field, pushing forth a research project called ‘Project Elysium’.
The world’s decline was sure, it was at a much more steady rate compared to what the twin Beasts could’ve done if they were summoned. Though this new project, what did it entail? It functions in a similar way to the Holy Grail War.
No, not just similar, it is the Holy Grail War. A Holy Grail War functioning with a much more refined ‘Mass Summoning System’ than the Archwood Incident Grail War. In the secluded Armistice Isle, a large floating city metropolis upon the water, off the coast of Careen City… this ‘Elysium Grail War’ was going to begin in the Summer of 2056
