It was short lived. It was an E-Liter user who had their special right as the match started. My teammates probably didn't noticed, but I did. I turned around and looked at the special squid. They knew that I knew and probably turned their hacks off. I didn't see anything unusual from that person for the rest of the match or in the other matches. If you care to block them, their NNID is heyestbugged.

In the next round when we were against each other, I made it a point to squid bag that person.

I'm not even sure what my friend code is or how to find it.

I really haven't done much with it so far other than play Mario Kart.

Well, I did it. I finally caught a hacker on video (proper video this time). The guy was your typical "GET LMAOBOX AND BE PRO TROLOLOLOLO!!!1!" types. The guy's NNID is ajmarkley. I was lucky... I guess... to be on his team.

Looking at the start, I'm kind of surprised I didn't spot the hacker before it became obvious. The AJ guy is level 26 and has a Captains Hat.

Splatoon 2's map rotation will be every 2 hours instead of 4.

I like that change. Though, with that, I hope the "vibe" bonus is daily instead of every map rotation now. Or maybe something "easier" like play 3 games / win 1 game.

@Orion: Stuff like that makes me question why they even play the game in the first place. Because they aren't playing. It's no fun if you have an "I win" button.

@No Limit: I approve of this change. Part of me thinks it might also be due to an increase in the number of maps and gameplay modes, which makes it more important to switch them out more often so that people get chances to play all of them.

The only game I have at the moment is MK 8, and it'll probably stay that way until July. I've spent a lot of cash this week and probably won't buy anything else until Splatoon comes out. Though my birthday is earlier, so I may get something then.

They're after the reactions for everyone involved. The ones who very clearly suffer, the ones who struggle as much as they can, the ones who just sit down and take it, and the rare few who don't realise they're actually hacking.

For me, I see these hackers as more amusing than annoying. Granted, this is in turf wars, so the stakes are low. Now a ranked battle? Should I get hot dogs or marshmallows to roast over that burning rage?

Yeah, in turf war it would probably only mildly annoy be, but in Ranked it would piss me off.

I'm trying to time my purchase of a Switch to a later, more stable shipment after hearing about the Launch Day woes :V
