So I went and marathon'd Legacy.

Oh god the comments about Liu's character change.... Oh lord I've never laughed so hard at the ineptitude of either side of a debate.

anyway... I liked the Shang/Liu confrontation.

Don't really get the Ermac choice... I get that he is more like a Japanese demon thing instead of I am Legion Ninja but eh they needed a Generic monster to kill for outworld -and Baraka and Reptile have holed up in their trailer-, Kenshi! Kenshi is such a easy concept it would take actually effort to **** it up

I actually kinda like the retool to Bi-han and Hanzo -Bi-han's motor cross armor being head tilting- cause Now Scorps is like believably pissed beyond belief and Bi-han doesn't have an alibi. Quan covers his bases better here.

It's Raiden, isn't it.

Turns out its really Shinnok, he's become a good guy bu this big MK 9 plot was to get rid of Raiden and Shao Kahn and instill some more benevolent, competent puppet rulers who ultimately answer to him. Its his big plot to get back in the Elder Gods' good books.

It's Kai, taking Raiden's place because Raiden couldn't handle the guilt of deep frying his greatest pupil.

Considering how they salvaged Stryker and turned him into something likeable, they could make generic old Kai work.

Wouldn't Fujin make more sense then Kai in replacing a depressed Raiden?

Maybe. The last one I played before 9 was 4.

I didn't know the hatred for this series was so strong. The twist on Liu Kang, the depravity of Raiden's situation, Johnny Cage, all those parts were decent. Can't say I was thrilled with Jax and Sonya, Cyrax, or Sub Zero and Scorpion, but there was clearly a lot of work put into them.

If nothing else, Ed Boon likes the series at least - he even sat and played MK 9 with the team.

Season 2 felt pretty weak to me. I really liked the actor they got for Johnny for season 1, so it was disappointing to see him replaced when he actually got to do plot relevant things.

My only real problem with Liu's change is... cause we don't have the context of how he was his fall doesn't seem as strong as it is. IE show the good guy Liu from the Previous tournament, then we get a sense of how far his fallen better.

That said, I love the Dynamic change between the two

Kung Lao has always been the 'Luigi' of the Shoalin duo, so having him be the one having it all together, while Liu is the more flawed one is a nice change of pace

Sub zero and Scorpions added stuff seems to be an attempt to make a tragic situation even more Tragic... and can come off a wee bit bloated for it's own good.

On the topic of Legacy, I preferred season 2 and really liked how they handled Liu, Shang, Bi Han, Hanzo, and Kung Lao.

True... I think the last thing he worked with Midway was MK vs DC and that was just the prequel comic i think.

Since i got nothing better to do

First match was rather boring, Zone feast -it was a Zod vs Aquaman- Zod wins

Second match was good, them parries and kneeling before Zod -Zod vs Doomsday- Zod wins

Third and Fourth Catwoman vs Doomsday is a rather aggressive matches, Doomsday won

5th and 6th match... Aquaman vs Deathstroke, pretty good matches Deathstroke played smart and really started to mindgame Aquaman. Deathstroke won both matches

7th and 8th Hawkgirl vs Doomsday, Hawkgirl pretty much dominated

9th match GL vs DS, DS wins with a tight last minute play

10th match second character change, Flash vs DS, DS wins... in yet another down to the wire play... which I'm not sure how he won

11th Raven vs DS , Raven wins

12 Swaps DS for Batgirl, Batgirl wins

13th Raven is swapped out for Shazam, Batgirl however wins

Epic tug of war between Zod and Batgirl... bUT YOU WILL KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

So, does Raiden use a Stance System now?

Well that was expected. I'm not disappointed, but he wasn't exactly a surprise character. Everyone has three different stances.
