I dunno what it was about myself, but I do know that image is now burned into my mind.
Everything else leading up to it was pretty standard-fare for the series imo (even the Red Guy part), but man, once Yellow Guy started going bananas, it got to me. I really don't like portrayals of desperation, and just listening to him begging and being able to actually see the moment he lost his mind. Man.
This shit got me fucked up at the very end of it all!
What happened to Yellow Guy in general during that Episode was honestly really sad. He pretty much knew from the start when The Lamp appeared that something horrible was going to happen to him since he was the only one left.
.....And boy something did happen. Yellow Guy ended up having a massive mental breakdown when Red Guy's attempts to save him went horribly wrong.
Red Guy was transported to a boring world without friends and was obviously feeling lonely. Duck Guy died horribly. And Yellow Guy's mind was torn apart as one of his friends was forced to watch. Not very good fates.. .

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is coming back with a new season (or based on an old news article possibly a television show). The production value is through the roof, as Becky and Joe are being funded by several big companies including Conan O'Brien's production company. The trailer suggests a lot of the episodes have already been filmed (or the first one is going to be really long).
Some observations from the trailer:
-Red Guy, Yellow Guy, and Duck Guy are all back together and their original colors.
-Instead of just being set just in their house and one time in a forest, it seems the new season is set in a town called Clayhill (and their house).
-I can't tell if Clayhill is just meant to be the town they've always lived in (since their house is still there) or if it's a new place the puppets have just discovered.
-One of the new teachers is a key (Maybe their lesson is privacy? Like not reading someone's diary?)
-Speaking of privacy as a potential lesson, the few glimpses we get of Clayhill once things start going horribly wrong does seem pretty Orwellian.
-Tony is back, on the wall of the puppet's house like a regular clock only he still has his face...
-That blue door and the Bowling Ball in the black void seem like they'll be important.
There is also going to be 3D animation judging by it.
Just like the gumball crossover predicted, the fun will never end!
Gonna need to resub to the DHMIS for this new season! I wonder what will happen with this new show?
Update, "Wakey, Wakey" is not a teaser for a second season. As I speculated, it's a teaser for a full blown Don't Hug Me I'm Scared television show.
Currently the pilot episode is completed and they're shopping the full series around to various tv networks and streaming services.

It'll have to be on Adult Swim or something like that; there is no way any executive will want this on a kid's channel.
I'd say Adult Swim has a good chance of picking it up since "we just made a very well regarded episode for one of the most popular shows on your sister network" is a great thing to be able to mention in your pitch.
"Coming soon to your Cartoon Network!"
I wonder how it would translate to the screen,I certainly think it wouldn't be anything like the shorts,it will come close though
New theme music also a boxI think DHMIS would fit like a glove on Adult Swim.
It's been 3000 years…Just when you think youd never see them again, they return! The show is coming in september 2022!
Wait... checks todays date SON OF A-
The terror returns.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Did they ever get the other planned show off the ground?
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I'm so happy to finally see this show come back. It was kind of odd that they didn't really say much about this show's development in the last few years. But, I would love to see more adventures from Red Guy, Yellow Guy and Duck Guy!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I feel like this show had a novelty that won't translate into a TV show, but maybe thats my cynic talking
New theme music also a boxI’m just wondering what approach they’ll take. Hopefully not the approach that lead to a moment where Duck Guy gets a boner from looking at a bowling ball.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”We have a new teaser for the Channel 4 adaptation, coming on Sept. 12 on their free streaming service All 4:
I never thought it would land on channel 4 of all places.
New theme music also a boxFinally, we got some new clips for the show!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!The six episode streaming television adaptation is now officially out on All 4.
Soooo spoilers beneath
The world everyone is trapped in is controlled by some kind of sadistic Humanoid Abomination named Leslie. Its unclear what connection she has to Roy, my personal theory is that Roy is simply an Author Avatar to her. It is also a Stealth Sequel of sorts to the original webseries, with the corpses of the original iteration of the teachers being in a dark room Duck and Red guy get into.
The First man
I think he is just meant to be The Smart Guy to Red Guy's Only Sane Man while Yellow Guy is more naive then anything else
An interesting piece of information has popped up since the last video has been released. When Yellow Guy has his mental breakdown at the end of the episode his face, eyes, and hair starts changing. His eyes start getting circles under them and are going bloodshot, his face is getting old and his nose is getting more crooked, and he starts balding. People are pointing out that the stress is basically causing him to turn into Roy and if you subscribe to the theory that this is just a recoccuring loop with more and more students being fed in then it's possible that Roy was the previous Yellow Guy of his group of students. And Yellow Guy is going to be next Roy for the color swapped group of Students.
If that theory is true then that is really disturbing and also really sad.
