The challeneg was to draw each other's maps. A map of Europe in general does not have to separately label each of the European countries' political subdivisions. A map of the United States of America as a country, however, will logically require that you label at least each of the top-level subdivisions, because that is what drawing a map of a single country would logically entail.

And yes, like Parable said, Europe won on a technicality.

Polish national anthem- read the lyrics. Since the comic is talking about anthem superpowers, it could be said that Poland has the power of ressurection.
