I think the most interesting part of that, besides the potential Sangheili-Forerunner interaction (the want of which was one of the only things the Forerunner Saga disappointed), is the "unknown alien race" that shot down 'Crecka.

On the subject of the Forerunner Saga- while I'm still not too fond about a prehistoric high-tech human civilization and that the Forerunners had their own precursors, I found myself pleasantly surprised at how they were handled in the last book. EVERYTHING IS PRECURSORS AND THEY ALL HATE YOU AHAHAHAHAHAHA among other things. :P

They almost look Forerunner... ear-lumps, flat nose, clawed hands...

I'd agree, the art can be ridiculously bad... still, there's too much consistency to let it go. They're all (mostly) hairless, have white eyes with sunken sockets, lack what should be obvious ears while retaining similar marks along the frame of the face, all but the left one has a flat nose (that one could be bad art), and that one on the right has clawed hands.

Man, they keep on topping themselves for forge mode. Admittedly, Halo 4 forge was like an update to the Reach model. This feels like a whole new evolutionary jump on par with what Reach did to Halo 3 forge. Vehicle spawning, door access, vehicle skins, bridge extensions, MUCH larger pieces, etc. Making the water only a foot deep is also nice, at least in principle to allow careful shaping of lakes and rivers. I do hope there is a spot where you can have Super Drowning Skills, cause that is still a Halo staple.

I'm always disappointed that landing in the water doesn't create a watery explosion. Maybe they'll rectify that at some point.
Other than that, damn you, 343. I don't want to spend hundreds on a console I'll only buy 5 games for, and I technically already have 4 of them. This can't be legal, it's like waving crack in front of a recovering addict...
