While I don't think Lucifer is going to be too much in line with the comic, they had better not change the actor. Not everything in Constantine was perfect, but Matt Ryan was.

it was also kind of screwed by what network it was on. Sy Fy obviously would have been a good choice but so would a network that would have better fitted the grittiness of the character like FX or A&E

which is already shitty enough, given it has at least six seasons worth of Seasonal Rot.
Unless the Arrow writers significantly step up their game from Season 3, I'd be very, very worried about what they would do to Constantine. Hell, being left to the Invunche could be a less cruel fate.

Arrow was in a transition period during Season 3.
They thought Arrow was going to more popular than the Flash but once they realized the Flash was more successful they had to change a lot of their plans and start moving towards the tone of the Flash.
