No it doesn't. You see Braille, so you go look it up.
Not every little kid is going to even know what Braille is.

i was stuck on that puzzle for ages before i got the players guide
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaGiven how X and Y grabs your hand for failing that Furfrou catching minigame too many times, and just the general railroaded-ness of recent Pokemon games, I'm certain the Regi sidequest will be revamped to be simpler.
...I don't even know how to respond to that. That's just stupid.
Trans rights are human rights.I could see a Eusine clone hanging around Pacifidlog Town in an attempt to research the Regis. Complete with giving you some handy "Braille For Dummies" key item for reference.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYeah, but that's mostly due to various things that aren't nearly as applicable today (limited memory, games as a whole still being designed as if they were arcade games, etc.). While I agree that too much handholding is a bad thing, I'd much rather have too much than too little. At least if I'm being spoonfed a game, I can still, y'know, play the game. But if I'm trying to play a game that tells me too little, then I just get frustrated when I don't understand how to play it and end up choosing a different game.
XY did turn up the handholding in a major way though. I appreciated the Battle Maison and EV training revamp (I never had much time for that in the last games) but the EXP Share and general lowered difficulty was a little too overdone.
I hope they don't make ORAS any easier than the originals were.
So, you're FOR tedium, then? Because all I saw in XY was a lot less wading through the more monotonous bits if you so wished.

I sure said that!I like to play Pokemon for the story too though. I'm not just trying to rush through the game to get to the multiplayer experience.
I think the EXP Share is for the youngest players but it's also ultra convenient for raising a team to 100 and evolving Pokemon for the Pokedex post-game.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. The problem of X/Y is that Game Freak didn't really adapt the game to the Exp Share properly, which results in you easily going above the levels of the gym leaders. If they are a bit more careful with it, they can make the Gym Leaders be at the same level as you and be tough fights without making you spend time doing tedious grinding.
Or give them more than 3 Pokemon. That would help.
Yeah I agree. The gyms/Elite 4 were far too easy with the EXP Share on.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I turned it off after the 4th gym leader and the game still felt easy. We'll see what happens with ORAS because I get the feeling they're going to add it in early in the game. If so, I'll just turn it off.
RE: Braille
I've got an idea. A braille APP for the PokeNav. You have the PokeNav open on the lower screen by default, and it'll just be a matter of opening the app so you can cross-reference it while doing the puzzle.
I've always wondered why the thing didn't have more functions.

Oh yeah, and someone wondered why they couldn't use the second screen to bring up information on what type a Pokemon is during battle so they don't have to just guess what the weaknesses might be. I think there should be a screen with all the +6/-6 sliders on stat buffs so you don't just have to remember what they were!
eh, i like guessing. add's discovery
With Stat buffs, I didn't really care what the foe did, and could tell where my stats were simply by counting how much PP had been lost (mod a multiple of however many times I normally use the attack).
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I heard Pokemon Amie was coming back. ??? I don't know if that's true or not since I never saw a source but if it is I don't expect anything to be put on the bottom screen aside from what was there in XY.
Pokemon Amie is confirmed to return, yes. Super Training on the other hand, may be replaced. Dunno about PSS though.
Super Training better be staying in.

Trans rights are human rights.
Oh, don't even start. Forcing the player to research Braille goes a bit beyond "not hand-holding".
