This should be interesting.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Admittedly kind of an odd choice, mostly because she was previously played by Asian and Hispanic actresses before. But Banks has some credentials in comedy and Rita should, first and foremost, be hilariously hammy.
I can see her in the role, actually. She's got the facial expressions to match the insanity of the character.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Part of me wishes that they got Amy Jo Johnson to play Rita. If only for a repeat of this.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Ya know i'm really excited for the bad guy suits. I mean imagine how the villains will look on a movie budget. Hell their faces might actually move & emote.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I imagine that they cast her because:
1. She's a good actress. 2. They want to try and capitalize off of her success from The Hunger Games. 3. She's proven there that she has no problem hamming it up somewhat if necessary.
Weta's doing the suits? Dayum.
On the other hand, holy shit six writers.
Is that a good or bad thing?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Generally Too Many Cooks Spoil the Soup. Writers tend to work best in pairs, maybe three on major studio films where you need to field a bunch of producers ideas. But individual people have their own ideas and voice, and one idea may end up lost among all the other voices.
But it should be noted that in many cases a script has many more writers than is credited. Not all at the same time, but are hired and fired. I talked with a (minor) Hollywood writer and he said every film he's worked on he would get hired, fired and rehired at least once. Who gets credited often depends on the contract.
Not constantly wearing their ranger colours in Civilian life, 0/10.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!I'll admit, they look more like teenagers than half of any Power Rangers series.
They look like they're posing for a music album.
(V)(;,,;)(V)I mean say what you want but they look like teenagers that have lots of attitude so..... it's successful I guess.
David Denman (Roy from The Office ) will be playing Jason's father.
Hmm. Definitely more of an old-school feel, but I'm glad they kept the lightning bolt.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! The slim lightning bolt design reminds me of The Flash. Not necessarily bad, but definitely diverges from the classic triangular design.
And how dare they not have a 90's logo ? Things were so much better then !

I'm not crazy, just creatively different.Reminds me of the Turbo logo. Almost the same color scheme, only this one has a little bit of blue highlights.
The lightning bolt is at the wrong direction.
I have to admit I am one of the few who don't care ahout the Zordon Era. I prefer the Disney Era.

Non Indicative UsernameI wonder if the film will replicate the cheeseey aesthetics of the show. Without them it won't feel like Power Rangers, but i don't see them doing that for a big budget movie.
Well, if anyone can pull off the cone bra...
