While cleaning up all the wicks for Dying Like Animals, I came across this little mystery page. It appears to be trying to be a Useful Notes, but not only is it in the wrong namespace in that case, I really question the relevance listing the ways cats communicate even has to media, and thus are of no use to this wiki. After a bit of discussion on Ask The Tropers, I brought it here for the hivemind to decide what to do with this. Thoughts?

It is a useful note. On the index, just not the right namespace.

The part most relevant to tropes here is probably the Cats Hate Water bit, which isn't actually about communication.

I don't think it would be a huge loss to cut it, but I wouldn't object to moving it to the proper namespace either.

Cats Hate Water already covers that bit, and I'm still not seeing the relevance to tropes for this. Until someone explains that part to me, my vote would be cut

I would say keep it unless there is any pressing reason (ie causing problems) to get rid of it. Just put it in the right namespace.

meh, I'm not too bothered either way, I'd vote for at least doing that.

On a related note, I just noticed that while it has only six wicks(three of them from indices), it has somehow brought in over 100 inbounds. My mind just boggles at who the heck is being pulled in by this page....

[up]Based on inbounds, this seems to be too popular a page to get rid of it unless it is causing specific problems for the wiki.

My vote is for moving it to Useful Notes. That's what it is — the sort of information someone could use if they're writing a story with a cat in it.

yeah, that's why my vote is changing to move to the proper namespace, too many inbounds to just cut. (Still not sure where those inbounds are coming from, though!)

Namespace it.

Looks like a lot of the inbounds are coming from Facebook. In other words, people are seeing this and thinking that it is so cool/useful/fun that they should share it with their friends.

Which is a large part of what we want in a wiki page.

ok, guess a few more votes for fixing and we can go ahead and namespace this then?

So, is there any other potential problems with this page or can we just go ahead and close this?

Edit: I take that as a no, then
