I was considering this in respect to trying to not make a bad situation worse since the Magical Girl population is so dense.

If you prefer I'll just remove the meta concerns and wish for what Seika is going to otherwise. The most powerful computer Humans will ever have in the form of a laptop with an indefinite source of power. That being a micro fusion reactor or something equally long lasting.

Are you kidding me? Watching the population decrease all Malthusian-style as the fights break out over limited resources is going to be awesome.

Two girls enter, one girl leaves!

And wouldn't one person who doesn't need those resources have an advantage? :P.

From what we saw with Sayaka though, a Magical Girl can last a while without any grief seeds.

Sayaka lasted a while?

Sayaka killed quite a few witches without any help or magical power recovery, and she was on the downfall, her despair growing. No Magical Power, high Despair. Eventually the Despair gave out.

@Rena: SIDF, mobilize your reserves, tell your general staff to draft plans, and switch your economy from butter to guns. (Or do the IJN/IJA thing and start bickering schizophrenically—either or.) In any case this is your fight.

Actually, the question of magic expended versus recharged by seed is a valid one. One of the sidestories—Different Story, I think—says that a single grief seed isn't enough for two girls, but that's probably assuming two Gems running on near-empty. A combat style less reliant on magic and more reliant on cheats and hacks can probably run for months on end on a single seed. One thing's certain, it'd be outright breaking the rules of the 'verse to not have to rely on Grief Seeds. This is not counting what even temporary incidents of melancholia or depression could do to a meguca, of course.

Let's rock and roll, Stephan. You came to the wrong neighborhood.

"Sayaka killed quite a few witches without any help or magical power recovery,"
Sayaka blew all of her magical power going berserk needlessly, in addition to being incredibly confrontational with others, leading to several problems. Also, it's her own damned fault for not being smart about hunting, or having a non-magical backup.

"and she was on the downfall, her despair growing."
Bad wish, her own damned fault. Poorly thought out, and she cries when reality doesn't play out like a fairy tale.

"No Magical Power, high Despair. Eventually the Despair gave out."
Bull. Having a magical weapon is basically as good as most others got, and Sayaka had a higher rate of recovery than most, allowing her to be completely and totally stupid about picking fights with people that should have wiped the floor with her.

The Despair didn't give out "eventually", she barely lasted, she just let everyone else fight for her until she snapped because boohoo my boyfriend has free will.

((Don't take it personally, Stephan. It just ain't her story.))

Er, so you support my point Rena? That is what I read.

Sayaka wasted all of her magical power, and still lasted for quite a few fights all the while refusing to use a grief seed to recharge.

I am only pointing out how Sayaka did basically everything wrong concerning staying alive and still lasted a while.

On certain parts of the Internet, Rena's acquired the name "Sayaka Internet Defamation Force" for himself. It's rather amusing to watch from a distance.

I'm saying she lasted extremely short, compared to what she could have done with even the basest measure of competence.

I wonder.. Seika is a smart girl, and when she doesn't know everything likes to research before coming to a decision. Do you think a wish like "I wish to be granted another wish when I choose to make on."

She could get almost irrevocably turned into a Magical Girl. Her next wish couldn't contradict that, unless she forced someone to take her place.

Sounds like a win win for Kyuubey. Though, Seika's power would probably have zero flavor to it and so she would only go let a weapon and no special attribute or ability until she made her wish.

Still thinking what I should do. I don't think it'd be good to have her stumble upon the witch's labyrinth since it'll interfere with the GM's plans for Natsumi and Emi (IIRC), so I considered having her follow a few Witch Kissed toward the warehouse thing and become exposed to The Reveal. It still doesn't sound good enough, though.

I think we had another meguca who tried to work along similar lines, or at least a discussion on that subject? Either that, or it's Kazumi Magica.

I was wondering about what if a psychopath made a contract. Since as a condition of being a psychopath she can't really feel, she wouldn't have any trouble maintaining a dark magical girl.

If it would be a problem that a psychopath couldn't have potential for no emotions means no emotional energy for Karmic Destiny, she could have acquired the condition rather than be born with it. She could have been full of hope before an accident robbed her of feelings. Which would fix in place the imbalance she has between hope and despair.

I don't think psychology works like that, lad. A psychopathic meguca who's consolidated their power base to be able to act on almost pure id would be a formidable threat, but not permanent. Despair still creeps in.

Since there's not much going on onstage for Amity to do, permission to have a scene or two miles away from the witch-fighting? No magic and no witches are involved, and probably no Kyubey (he's got multiple ferrets running around anyway), and I can write relatively unimportant NPC interactions for her.

Waiting for GM posts—could take a while. Or is the GM waiting on meguca to post?

So whose character(s) aren't already active at the warehouse? It might not be out of the question for a few of us to meet outside of school and/or combat.
