Combining Infected and Spread means we're already at episode 22, though.
Mayu is a dick
"How can we make this relationship more messed up?"
Mayu is a self-righteous dick
Diiiiiiiick
I like being right
No, seriously, Mayu is an utter dick
Well, that's non-optimal
Guess that's it, guys, we are getting no season 3.
Did I miss something? 'cause I don't remember the bit about the former LRIGs dying if they reneg on the wish being established before.
I believe it was mentioned when they met Futase.

Episode 11:
- Heh, no hard feelings between Yuzuki and Hanayo.
- Oh, so Hanayo truly fell in love with Kazuki. He really is a Chick Magnet. Well, it's his similarities to Yuzuki that sold her on him.
- So that's what non-Selectors see when they look at a LRIG. And Kazuki took the revelation of the Selector system rather well. Otherwise, he would've stormed off in a heartbroken rage.
- A 'battle' to save all souls.
- Mayu's unstable, so Ulith's taking advantage of that.
- A 'battle' to show Mayu what she's missing.
- Wh...what...? So Mayu's Dead All Along. So you could say she really is a vengeful spirit!
- Darn, Yuki's down, and she's falling even deeper! Is there a way for Ruko's MC powers to change things!?
Wow. That was rushed.
Wait, where are the sfx in the OP?
All these names and variants of one person. Getting kinda Kingdom Hearts in here
Interesting halo
Ulith got off light
Mayu turns into butterflies. Trying to make sure we notice that Meaningful Name, huh?
Oh, they remembered Kiyoi. Looks like we'll have to wait for Peeping Analyze to see if she got her wish, though
Ruuko is still searching for her girlfriends LRIGs, but it looks like they exist
Actually a really well-made ending. Positive, but not so happy that it doesn't fit with the rest of the series
spread overall: Fairly good, but it got kind of obvious that it was mostly a way of introducing exposition and killing time until the last few episodes. Strong start and finish, at least
Series overall: Reasonably good. Would recommend to someone who wanted a supernatural drama
I think I only followed half of that. Well, nice stuff either way. Some of the stuff felt like it got a non-ending, though most of it was probably just glossed over. Nice seeing Kiyoi at least.
Yup, Spread was still good overall. Kind of felt like it was meandering a bit for awhile, but a decent watch overall.
Was going to post this on the Headscratchers page, maybe it would be more appropriate here:
With the apparent end of the series, there are a few questions that seem to remain hanging:
- Was the Tetris metaphor involving the skyscraper a Red Herring? Or was it (thematically) related to Tama's prison in the last few episodes of Spread?
- What was the meaning behind Ruuko's Troubling Unchildlike Behaviour and Parental Abandonment? I was under the impression it was to foreshadow Ruuko and Tama having traded places in the past, thus the real Ruuko was Tama, because of the obsession with battling.
- What was going on with Mayu's background? The most that could possibly be determined is that she was sick or a Bastard Bastard that the family didn't want to acknowledge, but was rich enough to have servants care for her instead.
- What was the meaning of the battles shown at the start of each series? Were these the battles Mayu played pretend with herself? Watching again, the second is basically a reverse of the first, but it appears to be present-day (the start of Spread).
Personally I liked the series and I felt the ending was good, but I was growing concerned throughout the series if all the questions would be answered. (We sort of got something regarding evil!Tama dream, but... eeeeh. Evil Tama was rather un-utilised.)

Finale:
- What is Mayu's color? It's the color that erased the taint that is Ulith from this world.
- Hmph, I guess I now have an excuse to feel pity for Mayu.
- Ruko's true wish activated. Everyone's back where they should be. Especially Piriluk- no, Kiyoi. Now to wonder if her friend's out of her coma... No signs of Anne, though.
- Midoriko and Hitoe reuniting was sweet.
- Looks like Akira might just be Aki-lovely.
- Eldora knows Chiyori very well. Look at her, trying to introduce herself at the end.
- Ruko searches, but assuredly, she will find Tama. Tama's smile at the end lights that path.
I made the correct selection. WIXOSS: One of the top anime of the year for me.
Overall, it was a good drama, but not as a TCG anime. We all hope for a deconstrucive TCG anime with a focus on female character but keep all the drama (with less asspulling helps) of YGO, but I'm afraid WIXOSS isn't it. Hell, even ARC-V is better off in that regard. Not to mention that WIXOSS is targeting male specifically with heavy fanservice. YGO is at least gender neutral.
I should put down my goggles.
According to the WIXOSS Wiki, Remember killed Kiyoi's friend in order to grant her former selector's wish.

So despite people complaining about how dark the show is, in the end, it managed to have an idealistic ending ala Madoka?
That can't be all!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.It is done.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. For some reason when I saw that I thought they announced a live-action movie. Maybe because of that April Fool's joke.
...Actually they don't really say if the movie will be animated or not. I mean, it's unlikely it won't be animated, but...
I hope it's new content rather than the series adapted into a film for the $$ like some of them animes have been doing nowadays.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. What would it be about, though? The anime's ending didn't leave much room for further plot
Mayu was one girl who got some hax psychic powers in a otherwise modern day setting. What's to say there aren't othes like her running around?
Didn't Akira's first LRIG read the minds of her opponents?
...
Unlikely, I know. But it still keep me up at night.
Tama and Ruko haven't found each other yet!
Though that alone wouldn't take a whole movie.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Just started watching Infected after reading a fairly positive review on ANN. I have the dub specifically.
Akira's a complete bitch, but she's just so hammy you can't hate her, outside of her designated function.
On episode six right now. I hope Hitoe will get better.
Also, that Funimation will cover Spread, because it would suck having to stop here.
Hmm...My Anime List says 12 episodes but I really hope it's 24!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
