I ended up ignoring the conversations much like in the first game.

I wasn't expecting there to be 40+ minutes of them. ^^;

I honestly feel bad for her. Sure she may be blowing it out of proportion sometimes but then again, after all she's done to help GV and be with him... some stranger comes to his life and becomes uncomfortably (at least for her) close to him.

I mean, I know I'm supposed to find Quinn and GV's interactions sweet (and they frequently are), but then that text comes up whenever that happens. Again, the feel got ruined there...

I'm actually annoyed by how little Joule shows up. The majority of the convos focus on Quinn, who's relevance I question since she does little to add to the plot. And what she does add could have been done with GV's ex teammates from QUILL. Doesn't help she can see Joule for some unexplained reason.Surprised she hasn't seen any Die for Our Ship yet.

In contrast, that racist prick gets far better convos. They almost made me like him, with how he cares for his sister.

...Quinn does absolutely nothing throughout the entire game? Jesus Christ, what is the point of turning Joule into a Clingy Jealous Girl, then?

Truth be told, I haven't gotten the game yet(I'm planning to),but I have seen nothing on this site to suggest Quinn is relevant to the plot. Same goes for rest of the web.

Hey guys, this isn't strictly necessary, but I'm thinking of spltting the tropes as applied to Zonda in the first game and Zonda in the second (as "Mysterious Girl"). It's mostly to cut off the spoiler tags; that is, I can comfortably put infos on what Mysterious Girl is doing without having to spoiler tag it because she is Zonda.

What do you guys think?

Is there a need to divide the two? Zonda is revealed to be Mysterious Girl early on.

Like I said, it's not necessary, but it's good if we do that.

Must be nice for the racist psychopath who would have murdered an innocent girl to get his own game.

I still want a story where Copen has to fight normal humans who are avenging their Adept family that he murdered, forcing him to realize that there are people who care about Adepts and that killing them just because of what they are makes him no better from those he hated.

But I doubt the writers have the guts to do something like that.

That would be interesting. Did he ever realize his father was an utter piece of shit?

I don't believe he did.

Now I want that in as well somehow.

He's already been forced to deal with the fact that his sister is one of the Adepts he hates so much (and has separated from her so she doesn't get caught up in his world) so finding out the father he was so obsessed with avenging was as bad as or even worse than the dude who killed him would really break him.

I mean it's pretty likely that eventually Copen realizes he dun goofed. Being an utterly unsympathetic asshole for now is interesting enough.

Copen isn't a hero by any means and the situation you described above seems likely to actually occur.

Well so far he's only fought terrorist Adepts.

He fought Gunvolt, like your typical Rival character, and was going to kill Joule but was robbed of the opportunity (and then didn't kill her again when Gunvolt left her with him at the end of the second game).

A dedicated spin off about the character is likely to do something interesting with him.

That'd be great. Especially if they learned his sister was an adept too.

Imagine the raw rage of these people finding out that the asshole who murdered their friends and family just because they were Adepts (not even evil Adepts, but just Adepts) has an Adept for a sister and not only left her alone, but then went on to continue to murder other Adepts, basically showing that the rules he lives by don't apply to him.

The only problem with it is that it would mean endangering Mytyl, and she doesn't deserve that...but then again, neither did those Adepts he killed so...

The other issue, is that they would probably bring in Gunvolt, since he'd be invested in not seeing Mytyl die since she's also Joule, so they'd be screwed.

The part of GV 2 where Copen basically gets into a dick-waving contest about Zonda and Tenjin not being real siblings and thereby having a fake and shitty relationship compared to him and his sister made me want to throw my 3DS.

God, what a tool.

That's why it has to be normal humans attacking him. No Adepts at all. He needs to see the price of his actions.

If you look closely it looks like the grunts he's fighting are Sumeragi, aka normal humans. Although the mini boss is probably an adept due to him possessing that wrecked mech.

While the gameplay looks fine. I just can not stand Copen the guy is a hypocritical self-rightous a-hole.

By the way does it strike anyone else that we haven't met an adept that has copying as their septimal ability?

In a way that's what Zonda could do, although it was copying the entire person instead of just their power.

One crackpot theory I've seen is that Copen is unknowingly a very weak adept and copying is actually his power, although it's so minuscule he needs technology for it to manifest. In some ways it makes sense.

We need to add that to my idea. That would just light a fire so huge, it'd be visible from Space.

Then again, the fact that he's not living with it (in other words, he's not Copen ) is the problem.
