Earnest gave me this one
Nice use of broken palette shift!
Are you simply Photoshoping for glitch-alikes, or do you use actual glitching software?

Thanks, it's actually a much simpler technique. I opened it up in Text Editor and added my name in a random spot.
That is gorgeous! It looks authentically aged.

Ah, so you're working with the image code then?... and breaking it up as you go along, for the corrupted result?
You ever get any formal training on glitch making?
Aww,... I wouldn't go that far, but thanks!
Nah, I just found a set of glitch art tutorials and picked a technique at random.
nice!
For me, rule of cool must take precedent.
Okay, here's a little artier than last one.
OOOOH FANCY!
Reminds me of AC!D◊
Edit I fixed the link. Okay, what's your pic?

Went for the 'sun scorched camera lens' look.
If my printer/scanner was working, I would have done it by hand with lighter fluid and bleach for posterity!
That really does look real! ... okay, that may have sounded redundant but you know what I meant.
To the Troper above me.
Aww... that's too nice of you, to say something nice like that... to me, again. The Department is my favorite trope after all!
This is the most fun thing ever. I tried also changing the actual code of the jpg, and that was the most fun thing in the world! I love what you guys have done in the images!
I really wanted to try out that technique of changing the code (even though I didn't receive a picture from anyone; sorry! Never played one of these games before. ^^;) and figured I'd show it to you guys anyways. What fun!

It is what it is.Nice Thanks for the support! Always great having new players!
That image seems fitting like it should be glitched!
This one seemed topical.
Sweet how did you do this one?
What did the original look like?
Does this count as glitch art?
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdIts cool but not exactly...
Is essentially glitch art is any art that attempts to replicate glitched electronics or displays in design and performance... Or is art that is really glitching out!
Here's the original◊. I did the text editing twice and spliced them together. I'm having trouble because some edits seem to delete everything beneath a point, so I stitch the glitches together. ;)
Sweet props for going outside the box!
Apparently Andy Warhol was doing this first.
That's pretty freaky!
How to play
1) The troper above you selects a picture, it could be of anything.
2) Using any program you wish (GIMP, Photoshop, Pixlr) or even by hand, manipulate the photo into the best, most creative glitch art you can.
Example: Troper A posts an image, and using Pixlr, Troper B glitches it, and so on...
