Christ, I hope the original cast doesn't come back. Ali Larter, for all her fineness, wasn't a good addition to the show. Then they kept bringing her to the forefront until the mercifully killed her off... then brought back another identical twin because reasons. And by the end I just didn't like Claire. And Peter, Sylar, and Hiro (though I actually like the last two) just sort of muck things up with their game-breaker abilities. The writers spent the entire time trying to figure out ways to include them without making things too easy... which just meant, well, making them giant idiots.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. There are about twenty other cancelled shows that I think deserves a second chance over Heroes. Seriously, no one liked Heroes after S1. They had three seasons to get their shit together. Three! That's more than most unfairly cancelled shows even get.
And yeah, the best bet is to go with an entirely new cast.
Who was even asking for this, though?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectEven if it has a new cast, hopefully they won't make the mistakes they did in later seasons. I mean, season 2 was "supposed" to be mostly new characters and look how well that panned out (all the new heroes were awful and the original ones were ruined).
I feel like this is an attempt to hop onto the superhero boom (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. especially).

People blame the writer's strike in season two for killing the show, but I disagree. I consider Tim Krieg to be in the same boat as M. Night Shamalyan: the first works were a miraculous mistake beyond their actual capabilities. Heroes didn't get worse as the seasons progressed, season one shouldn't haven't have been as good as it was, but somehow everything fell into place and it was great.
Peter, Hiro, and Sylar were too powerful to write a story with. Ali Larter was wasted with bad characters. Claire couldn't really contribute much on her own...
Ug.
If there is to be any hope, please no Sylar. Not even a cameo. He was the best and worst thing about the show: the really intriguing character with a good actor, who over-stayed his welcome and the writers had no clue what to do with. Seriously, season three Sylar. I'm good! I'm evil! I'm good! I'm evil! I'm good! I'm evil! I'm CURED?! No, wait, I'm still evil for no reason-

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Ever since Family Guy came back, I've been really wary of un-cancelled series in general, the fact that Heroes was so tarnished when it went under doesn't help any.
Honestly, I don't think they should have ever let Peter get the ability to use the powers of people he wasn't near. If he can only have the powers of people he's near, he not a super big game breaker.

Or even better, Discard and Draw and increase his "hand" capacity by one power per season or so.

You lost!I guess the original cast isn't coming back then?
hashtagsarestupidWill wait and see.
Honestly they should instead bring back Alphas.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Well, this show wasn't received well here, I take it.
Liked Season 1 the most, Season 2 could've been good, 3 declined, 4 got back on track, 5 was sort of... meh. As long as the story gets finished I'm happy.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!If this reboot keeps the old show's continuity, then we should be looking at a situation where the world at large knows people with superpowers exist, which should make for an interesting changeup.
I'm sure if this site existed back in 2006, there would be a Heroes topic here of people liking season 1 but eventually turning on the show later like everyone did.

How old is this site anyway?
Anyway I hope it keeps continuity with the old series.

I'll second that motion!
Always the afterthoughtThirded. I'd also like to see it set in the present year, which would be three or four years after Clare's reveal.
Trump delenda estx7 If only. It's a pity the concept's been done to death, or they may have stood a chance.
I'm intrigued. This could be great or nightmarish. I do hope they pick up fresh (at least somewhat), since I can't be the only one who quit back in season three.
And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know.Synopsis:
...So basically season one but with a new cast.
So the new focus will be on a group of different people?
I mean, don't we care what happened to Peter, Sylar, Noah, Clai-
Fanbase: NO!
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Okay, let me be the one to step out and be the oddball here.
I want to see the original cast members in at least a cameo so we can see what happened. I know. I'm sorry. But I literally finished the last episode today. And it could have actually gone somewhere had it not been canceled. And honestly... My favorites are Sylar, Peter, and Matt. I've grown attached in the last 5 months of watching the show. And I really am craving to know what's happened for them now. And so ytes, I want the originals to come back, even if it's just a quick cameo that shows us where they are now.
Okay. Let the flaming begin.
I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring? No I'd like to see what happened to them too. But it is doubtful that the actors would still be interested in the show and be now.
hashtagsarestupidBREAKING NEWS: Ali Larter will be playing two new characters in Heroes Reborn. Completely unrelated to the characters she played in the original series. But it turns out the second one is just Sylar in disguise.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I love Ali Larter but her characters were one of the worst things on the show. I was joking during third season that there was an entire orphanage of extra "twin" Larters they could introduce when they gave up on her latest version.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I thought season 3 "literally" confirmed that was the case.
Please tell me last bit is a joke.

Your natural reaction is to think it's a joke, a fan made trailer some optimistic fan put up. But no, a show you like is getting revived as a 13-episode miniseries with the original creator onboard as executive producer.
This development pleases me.
