It certainly sounds like a cool concept.
... And that's about all I have to say. I'm not really... confident in Kickstarter games anymore.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Oh do tell. I admit I've run into what seems like a number of threads with Kickstarter roguelikes lately.
I do like the premise of this one though. Family opened the portal to Hell, the portal opened a seemingly bottomless dungeon of demons and undead underneath the house, and an excavation crew is sent in to solve the problem. Add in the dimentia and RPG elements and this sounds fun.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!:D
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Well, it's already been funded. For all interested that fear putting their money on it too immediately, you won't have to!
Video interview, mostly about stuff you can find on their Kickstarter page already but it includes a bit about some of the classes' capabilities, mentioning you do have some capability to back out when Total Party Kill with Final Death seems to be stirring (though you will be definitely penalized from doing so), and they end with sounding like they will be trying hard to hurt Min-Maxing and render characters' flaws truly important to the game http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/p08bxe/darkest-dungeon-the-minds-behind-the-madness
As well the Houndmaster character class, Brigands (serving as rewarding mini-bosses) & multiple random Boss variants in each dungeon stretch goals have been reached in the game. Additional town activities and new shops are almost there.

It sounds interesting but I won't buy a roguelike ever again. I can mess with Dwarf Fortress and Nethack because they're free, I won't pay to have a game constantly kick me in the balls and laugh about it again.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I chipped in for the art book, the soundtrack, and to help fund the cinematics and Steam Workshop mods.
Oh and, also because the came looks pretty good.
New classes and quests join the repertoire Only the former is elaborated on.

Darkest Dungeon now includes The Clammiest Cove which will have appropriately different content and the Jester class' appearance has been shown.

I mentioned this in the Crowdfunding thread. For a minute I thought I was the only person interested. Thank goodness I am not. REALLY looking forward to this and I regret not having made it in time to reserve an heir tier.
Town events are in! And a wee bit more about environments of the game.
Bit of alpha footage on combat.
Pre-ordering fer early access is up

I'm quite interested in seeing this happen, good thing it's been funded!
Despite my earlier skepticism, I am really hoping this turns out well.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Come on guys! We're so close to the mega goal!
Ancestor's Trinkets unlocked to be discovered in gameplay!
14 hours left in the Kickstarter campaign! Around $7500 away from Character Customization goal at this posting.
$300000 broken! 9 hours left.
As much as I want it to happen, that 350k goal will take a miracle.
Darkest Dungeon gameplay video and a small interview with the lead artist.
I'd imagine the Highwayman and Crusader's descriptions have yet to be created and the Bounty Hunter's description will get a bit edited.

The Darkest Dungeon is illuminated a bit in these PAX demos.
Ohhhh, the gold description.
There's a comment by the devs in THE WEALD video about the Death's Door thingie happening while a character's health is 0.
They have also said on their channel that currently they're working with saves being totally automatic. Gotta live with it, so far.
Early access is expected for mid-Feb 2015, full release in summer, pre-orders end on October 1st.

Early access begins February 3rd, 2015! Backers get to play it the preceding weekend! Merchant class voted toward the concept of "A wealthy aristocrat and antiquarian with a keen eye for the ancient and the valuable."! Game also announced for PS4 and Vita (I don't own those, what would I need excitement for that).

A Kickstarter I've just heard about - Darkest Dungeon, in it's own words, is a challenging gothic roguelike RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring. Descend at your peril!
It seems the main draw aside from classical idea of combat against monsters and abominations for t31-1 p1=147 13()()75 (That's teh phat lewtz) is managing the stresses and quirks that are bound to appear from your mortal party's struggles against inhuman horrors.
Here's a trailer from gametrailers.com if you're interested.
The Kickstarter pledging ends on March 14th, 2014. Seems to be two/thirds of the way there already though!
