It's just a picture of a guy staring into a woman's cleavage. It would perhaps fit on I'm a Man; I Can't Help It or on My Eyes Are Up Here; but for the trope Europeans Are Kinky, this picture neither shows any kinkyness or whether or not she's European, so that's not really helpful.

I think the best approach here would be to swap this image with the one on Distracted by the Sexy; because both images show distraction, but the latter image at least shows the girl in question is foreign, as well as that she purposefully wears ridiculously tiny swimwear.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

I think the image on Distracted by the Sexy is better on that page, and better than this image on that trope.

The image here doesn't really illustrate. Not quite sure if it's pullable, but it's certainly not good.

I wonder if this would be a better place for the Swedish Bikini Team image suggested in the Flag Bikini thread, or if it would just be tacky...

Doesn't even seem that relevant.

Scandinavia And The World miiiiight have a strip or two where non-European characters wonder at European character's kinkiness/ free-spirited sexuality...

Not sure how well it applies, but it reminded me of this one.

I'm all for changing the pic, the Producers was the first one I could think of when I was writing the trope text, and I agree it's not the best possible example. However, I don't feel the Swedish bikini team or anything like that is good for illustrating the trope; it's all about the contrast between the non-European and European, so a good pic should illustrate that contrast somehow, not just show the European side.

I'd like to have something that didn't somehow establish the non-Europeans as ridiculous prude caricatures or similar.

Agreed, and most of the examples don't involve particularly prudish non-Europeans. It's the European that tends to get caricaturized and exaggerated with this trope, not the non-European.

baguette babe? Wine and cheese

I have an odd feeling that my searching for a good(read SFW) image is going to be difficult.

[up][up] Second link isn't working...not sure if the third crosses any content policy lines. The current isn't really illustrative of anything beyond every straight man's third or fourth thought of the day.

[up][up][up]The third one seems to be the most illustrative, though I'm not sure how SFW it is, with regards to the content policy.

I like the movie poster one, although it does seem kind of confusingly like something that would be a good page image for French Maid.

I'm not digging any of those because it's not telling us anything about the why, just odd stereotypes.

I somewhat like 11.1. 11.2 isn't loading. 11.3 would be a-OK. 15, while being more "tolerable" insofar as my dislike of fanservice goes, is probably not improved by that as a page image.

We might be doing this wrong if we're thinking fanservice. This trope is a confusing one for me because I don't know if we're using kinky in the "sexually liberated" sense or not and these aren't doing much more than being pinups of sexy ladies which doesn't suggest the trope.

You're correct that being sexually liberated is what the trope is about, not mere fanservice (though fanservice is often added to it). Like I already said above, a pic with just a "sexy European" is not very illustrative, because the trope is not just about Europeans: the contrast between the European and the non-European is essential to it. So a good pic should have both parties in it. not just the European. That's why originally chose the Producers pic, since it shows both the American and the Swedish character, though I agree it's not that illustrative otherwise.

Getting the feeling this is one of those incredibly specific types of image picking where the right image is a needle stuck someplace in a stack of other needles.... for now, BUPKIS seems more appropriate.

From the comic book examples on the page, I think Crimson Fox might provide some good examples...

This would otherwise be perfect, but nothing in the pic indicates Crimson Fox is French and Green Lantern is American:

Yeah, I think we can work with 23.

Although I'm not exactly sure what so kinky about Crimson Fox... she's just hot chick up in his face for some reason.
