The Sly Cooper Movie

So this is happening. Opinions? I think Bentley is spot-on, Sly looks ok, but Murray is just wrong.

My question is why is Jak being treated like the red headed step cousin by Sony?

Oh boy just took a trip into the Uncanny Valley.

Sometimes something just doesn't feel right about cartoony characters going HD.

I, for one, am actually really excited for this and looking forward to it. Love Sly Cooper! I hope this leads to far more!

I think it would have for the best if they waited for the response for the Ratchet and Clank movie.

As for this, well, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Never played the games, but this looks cool. My only problem with the trailer is it suffers from the Empty Streets Syndrome all too common in CGI cities.

I loved the games! they were awesome! For the movie however, all I can say is that they better do a good job. Too many times have I seen movies based on video games fail in both the box office and in critics reviews! This also applies to video games based on movies.

For the above comment examples would be pretty much movie there is based on video games.

I'm torn. I love Sly Cooper, but on the other hand movies adapted from video games...*PTSD flashbacks to Mario Brothers*

There was an Ace Attorney live action flick (made by Takashi Miike), which was pretty good, but most video games movies aren't really good indeed.

That "art" style is disgusting.

What about that Professor Layton movie? I thought that one captured the spirit of the games in my opinion.

Plot wise, I think Sly Cooper can be handled well. Just setup a good heist film really.

Seeing Bentley's eyes with his glasses on just feels really weird.

Apparently, it is being written and directed by the same guy who wrote and directed the 2007 TMNT movie.

okay... i liked that movie, so i should have nothing to worry about here.

Maybe it's because I've never played the games, but I actually like the animation style.

I created a Video game based cartoon thread just in time for this.

As someone who has only watched gameplay I genuinely enjoyed what I saw. The trailer was actually pretty gun.

I look forward to your masterpiece.

Really, though, that's pretty decent looking CGI. Wouldn't surprise me if this is the art direction they're going for in the newest Sly title (whatever that may be).

Considering how difficult fur is to animate, I think I am justified in saying that the people working on this movie know what they're doing.

While I also think the trailer looks good (other than the usual eerily empty streets), resorting to the Let's See YOU Do Better! defense is beyond sad.
