Everything in that preview clip could've just been replaced with the human characters having a singular voice doing an inner monologue.

but that's the point

Oh, hey, one thing that kinda bugs me about people's reactions to the end of the movie...why does everyone think the "puberty" thing is a button for them to press? It always struck me as being an alarm. I mean, I don't think you manually started your journey through puberty, unless you're a very unique individual.

(re:the short: The clip linked only went up to to riley's mom using Totally Radical slang and Disgust walking out, right? The linked video doesn't work here in Australia so I had to use a mirror [1].)

It looked like an alarm to me, but I remember the characters acting as though it was a button.

No, I'm pretty sure all they said about it was "What's this?" or "What's this for?" or "What does this do?"

[up] That last one sounds like it's a button, but I certainly thought it was an alarm.

Since puberty is a process that takes a while, it might be an indicator, somewhat like a pressure gauge, changing color by segments like a pie chart, until Riley stops being a child, and starts being a young woman. There might even be an automated announcement: "Reproduction is online. Sexuality is active." It might even trigger Anger and Fear converting to "female" form. I wonder if Anger will like her new pretty shoes ....

Well, you don't press buttons to become happy or sad or angry or disgusted in real life either, but the Inside Out Emotions still do it...

Maybe the fact that puberty is a button to press is supposed to represent how some children go through puberty sooner or later than others.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Puberty isn't a button, it's an alarm beacon. One of those red lights that spin and flash.

We saw it active during our glimpse into the mind of that boy Riley talked to. "IT'S A GIIIIIIIIIIRL!!!!!!"

I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but Disney plans to replace Epcot's Captain EO with a completely new short based on the film.

Finally got around to seing it. It's great, if very predictable. I think it'll have a very long-lasting impact on the 8-13 set, though. A core memory, if you will.

You know, I talked with a friend about the whole Bing Bong sacrifice I actually said:

"For us(Writers) that scene was horrible because we dont kill our imaginary friends, we write about them, show to others and sometimes we try to make a living of out it....

Granted, we draw porn with other imaginary friend...but that is beside the point!"

Also I think the other reason is such heart breaking scene is that in the end he understand everything pretty well:that Riley have forgotten him long time ago but still could save her, its....goddamn heartbreaking.

And for last:I my opinion, the core memories dosent go away because they are diferent from other, is the kind of stuff that stay with you forever and if you see the movie from outside her head, is clearly she is represing her saddness(bia joy hijacking everything) which is casuing her depresion in the first place.

His name is Bing Bong but I won't correct any of the other spelling mistakes that your browser spellcheck should have probably noticed.
