In my vast journey throughout the internet and all things mystical, most Boy's Love manga/anime/fiction I know of is quite sexually explicit, and looking at Wikipedia deepens the impression that the bulk of that genre is dominated by heavily sexual works/themes. Sensitive Pornograph comes to mind. I've heard that the manga is far less explicit than the anime, which might be true for more series like it.
However, I imagine that's something you're going to have to stomach and fast-forward through. Good luck otherwise.
I knew there was Yaoi and Shounen-ai, and I've heard seme and uke tossed around now and then, but now there's apparently bara, which is the definitive "Porn Without Plot" apparently. So if you're looking for non-sexual work, avoid the bara tag.
Wish I could be more helpful, but romance fiction is definitely not my forte.

After finding out I have an interest, I'd like to read more, but I don't really want to read anything... hardcore for personal reasons. I'm more interested in the romance part then the sex part, so if you could please recommend some stuff that's not really anymore explicit then the kind of love stories they show on television.
