Not really, that's either JAFAAC or close to. Now if you made it a montage of several guys trying and THEN the kid actually succeeding, that provides more context and makes it less JAFAAC.
PS - Tech tip: No need to copy/paste the URL when posting the topic, just type the article name in CamelCase.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Agreed.
I don't think it's quite JAFAAC. He seems to look up towards the light for permission the way I interpret it. I'll note that I've not seen the scene in question, but I'm familiar with the myth.
Check out my fanfiction! For me, it looks more like he's overawed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's not as bad as everyone is saying it is. I think King Arthur is enough in the public knowledge for most people to understand the context. I'll give it a pass.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I think the problem is not whether he's looking up into the Shaft of Light, but establishing that nobody else can pull the sword from the stone. A good caption might address that.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Perhaps with context? 1◊
No good at wiki size. For context, I'm personally a fan of trying to get some shots of the other three guys straining (and failing) to get the sword out, for contrast with the young Arthur pulling it out so easily.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That's what I'm still looking for. The good ones just have him pulling out the sword while others watch.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I like it.
But I don't know, it leads me to think "He who pulls out the sword is chosen to rule"... not "He who pulls out the sword is chosen to wield."

And whoever wields the sword is the ruler, makes sense as it does still remain that only the chosen can wield but gets to be king as a result.

I'm good with that.
11 gets my vote. No need to clutter it up with extra panels if you don't need to.
The one wields it is "The Chosen" regardless and it doesn't have to be specific as to what for, so... yeah whatever, it's good .

Add me to the supporters of #11.
I like 11.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseThis is at the clocking point, but we've got enough consensus to run with the Sit S suggestion, so it's up, potholed, and tagged. Locking up.

"Well, if GOD says it's okay..."
Anyway, I think this image perfectly illustrates this trope. Think it would work?
