Yes, I do have the same problem (or rather, "had" it this morning).
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI use Google Chrome and this is the third time that using the Google Custom Search tool causes Chrome to get stuck on a page that says "Loading". I have to use the Title Search tool underneath the Tools menu.
Believe in yourself! This issue has been cropping up more and more lately with misbehaving Flash ads and Flash scripts. If you can identify an ad that always appears on pages where you get the freezes, mention it in the Advertising issues thread and we'll report it to the provider.
We can't do anything unless we can identify the misbehaving ad, though.
As for the Google custom search, all of that code runs on Google's end. Check to see if cross-site scripting is being blocked in your browser and make an exception for Google.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've never had the issue but I use adblock. I usually turn it off on sites I like though so they can make some money, not sure why TV Tropes has escaped my list.
Oh really when? Thanks. I fixed it. I use the extension Ghostery and it was blocking something called Google Ajax Search API. Once I unblocked it and refreshed the page, the Google Custom Search worked.
Believe in yourself!Yeah there's been a problem with certain ads causing the site to freeze up. Things were good for the last 2 months or so, but now it seems to be coming back. Send some feedback to Eddie and the others running the show with what ads you see on the screen at the time that the window locks up and they'll handle it.
So I am on chrome and its constantly refreshing or updating Anything tv tropes related, and sometimes failing to load the page at all and giving me an error message. Is anyone else having the same problem?
