Agreeing on the pull; it does look like an entire minus. strip.
Ghyahh! Well, it looks like a good example, but wayyyy too long. I think we cann use just a couple key panels from this.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, it really emphasises the long part of the trope.
Check out my fanfiction!Link to the full version. To be honest, I'm kinda lost. I don't get how it shows the trope.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I did mention that it's pretty much indecipherable if you have no context to go on. I didn't so it was lots of tiny boxes telling a story with little connection to the trope.
That's because it's a sequel to this strip. The title character sends a girl back in time in one comic, and in the next she's lived through all the years up to the point where she was first sent back. It's a good example, but it would be really hard to make it into a workable image.

Hey, that's not bad.
That looks okay, but it's too tall. Could you scale it down?
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Scaled down version in post 9.
9.2 FTW
I figured someone should try to make the minus comic a clear example. The text is still hard to read. I don't think the text is required, though. After making it, I think the artist did an excellent job visually representing the trope.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Still pretty dense to look at.
Sorry to nitpick, but 9.2 is a tad too small. Something in between?
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Sure. Added a tad larger image in 9 for side-by-side comparison.
Perfect
Oh really when?Either 9.2 or 9.3 are good. The new take on the minus pic still takes time to go through to get the point across...the Marvin pic is much more succinct.
Bit of a shame, the minus example is very good but it's too long for us and needs the story to make sense.

For a static visual medium, I'm not sure that's a negative. The trope name is The Slow Path.
The robot image would work just as well as a page quote, because the trope isn't being visually represented.
Not that I'm voting against the robot image! Just pointing out it works because if the text elements, not the visual elements.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I disagree; the mood contrast between Trillian and Marvin, based on their expressions, helps that one to me...and yes, I know that Marvin can't help his expression, but the point still stands.
Bump.
Counting six for marvin...
I like 9.3.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else
Keep passing this one on my random page walks and every time I read this 24(!)-panel wonder I never know what it's about or how it relates to the trope (the example below does explain what the strip means but hardly any of this is detailed in the strip itself). I'm a bit concerned it's a whole work too so suggestions for this? Do we need a pull?
