We can pull that for being just two faces. A blurb doesn't work unless maybe it goes with an image and the poster doesn't make any sense.
The current may be just two faces, but the suggestion doesn't appear to have anything to do with gangsters.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Yank the current. Maybe this◊?
Way better than nothing.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That seems to be an improvement, aye.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFor suggested DVD cover.
Definite improvement over the current.

Hold on a minute... what about the fanmade loading screens for a (hopefully upcoming) Grand Theft Auto: London HD remix?
Vinnie Jones from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels◊
And the original◊ from the 2d ps1 game.
Joe Gilgun from ''This is England''◊
EDIT: I really want to find the second image from the video with the man with the two revolvers but I can't find it.

Hold it, I thought one of the main points of this trope is that the gangster rarely use guns due to the strict gun controls in Britain, so having the person carrying guns might obfuscate that point somewhat. The ones who aren't carrying guns in those suggestions don't look like a gangster
5 is good enough, by the way.

The first two don't say enough "London" (it's on the same level as OP's suggestion, to me) while the rest don't have enough "gangster," imo. (Didn't bother looking at the video, my net's too poopy at the moment.)

that was my dilemma, Guns, too gangster, no guns not gangster enough.
Going to have to agree with Synchronicity on 9.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIs 5 enough just like this?◊ I mean, he has brass knuckles and there's a Union Jack in the back.
I prefer that, actually, because I'm not really fond of using a cover/poster of a work medium as a trope page image.
for 14
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.to 14. Although I did find this◊ but it's probably not related.

Not even a little.
Not sure why we're replacing JAFAAC with a different face and caption.
Sorry, that was exactly my point. umm the image in 14 is more or less perfect.
On short notice I couldn't find anything better. Unless some troper here's at master photoshopper and could make something completely from scratch.
14 is an improvement over the current, but I agree with treelo on the JAFAAC concerns.
JAFAAC applies when you must be familiar with the work the image is from in order to understand why the image is an illustraion of the trope. If that familiarity isn't necessary to see the connection, it's not JAFAAC, even if it is just a face and a caption.
In the case of the thug with the brass knuckles and the Union Jack, he looks like a thug and the flag indicates "British" to a degree. You don't have to know that it's the guy on the cover of a collection of British Gangster movies to make that connection.
It's not the best image (we haven't found a really good one yet) but it's way better than the previous one, which was JAFAAC of the worst kind — the picture was simply two guys, and the caption informed you that they were the Krays, which still demanded familiarity with British organized crime to give you any useful information about why they were an illustration or example of the trope.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I agree, it's an improvement but it's just not an interesting pic. It's better than nothing and much better than what we had before so I'm okay with it as there's not many other options.

Well this ones going on my list of "Tropes I'll always be on the lookout for pic..." even if we decide on 14. Since it's not the most ideal solution.

Hmmmmmm...fair points all around. In that case, I'll give 14 a weak pending any other suggestions.
... about as JAFAAC as you can get. It's two guys. Nothing about them says London, nothing says Gangster.
I don't have many ideas, though. Maybe a Layer Cake◊ poster? The blurb at least says "British gangland" on it which is... something, I suppose.
