A movies profitability doesn't end at the boxoffice. I kind of predict that this is going to be Vindicated by Cable.

I hope so. It's out on DVD/More Expensive than Normal DVD for some odd reason in October. I think I just might buy it, as it shouldn't be much more expensive than what I paid to see it at teh Imax all-in.

Just saw it again.

Still my favorite film of the Summer. Personally, I feel that it is to 2014 what Pacific Rim was to 2013. waii

Well, I didn't watch Pac Rim, so Edge of Tomorrow can't be this year's.[lol]

I didn't watch Pacific Rim until it came out on DVD (mostly because I never got the opportunity) but I loved it all the same, so I agree XD

Plenty of people in America watched Pacific Rim. Just not an overwhelming horde for some reason.

Seems like the folks in Japan like Edge of Tomorrow enough for the director of it to gain an award. Linky here:

Just look at all the Japanese government agencies involved in giving it. It's pretty epic.

Anyways, update on takings time:

I think the film may be coming to the end of its theatrical release time in the United Kingdom, as none of my local cinemas, and there's a few of those, have the thing on anymore.

It is in dollar theatres here. Meaning dvd/blue ray has already happened or will soon.

First time I ever seen a movie's title be swapped for its tagline.

That isn't a retitle though. Its just the tag line in big letters on left hand side with the Actors and title in small on the bottom edge. Here is a big hint. Look at the spine. It says Edge of Tomorrow

I found the original book in my local bookstore. I intend to possess it, whether as a birthday present this weekend or buying it myself XD

WB really doesn't know what to do in terms of this film's title.

Doesn't change the fact that it is still my all time favorite film of the Summer. waii Where does it rank for you guys?

Good, but not great. I'd rank Guardians of the Galaxy higher. No true favorites for this year so far though, but I'm really anticipating Interstellar given it's emphasis on hard sci-fi science.

Yeah, Guardians is definitely at the too. I think Godzilla is just below Edge.

Top film for me so far, with Guardians second. Smarter scripting and Cruise's best performance in decades. Plus Emily Blunt being convincingly lethal.

I Dunno man, it's like a five-way tie between this, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Snowpiercer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Guardians of the Galaxy....

Don't make me choose. evil grin

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEEN IN MY LIFE.

Well, maybe not, but it was really good. Like, really good stuff. 10/10 would watch again.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
