Does Not Illustrate: Unbroken Vigil

It just doesn't work. It's a pic of an example from Doctor Who that may or may not even fit depending on your standards of adherence to the trope description, and taken out of context, there's very little in the description that has anything to do with the image. The guy looks like he's doing a vigil kinda like what the old knight in Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail is doing, not staying at somebody's side while they're unconscious. The only people who would actually be able to link the pic to the trope are Doctor Who fans. There are any number of pics that would be way better. One that comes off the top of my head is this◊, from Futurama. Maybe stick a caption under it like, "He's been begging her to wake up for two weeks." or something. Any other similar pics would be infinitely better than what we have now.

I'm getting a 404 from the pic you linked.

That's odd. I uploaded it to TV Tropes, and it works for me, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Maybe find a better quality version but other than that it's great.

Loads for me. It's fuzzy, but it works.

Yeah, does anyone have the futurama discs that they can take an hd screencap of? This is episode 12 of season 4 if anyone does. If not, I can just torrent an hd version of the episode and screencap that, but I'd rather not cause I don't have much bandwidth left for huge downloads.

I don't think the quality can be better without futzing with it given this is from before they went to HD. I don't like the image choice anyway.

I like this one because he's clearly dead on his feet (or chair, as it were). He hasn't shaved, his hair is messy, etc. He's not in good shape, he's been there for a while. Cause of that, I would only vote for a pic that is close up enough to show something like that.

Too bad seasons 1-5 were never released on Blu-Ray. You'll only ever find a low-res SD image from "The Sting".

Anyway, if someone can find a similar image (that obviously shows he's been staying there too long and hasn't been taking care of himself) from a different show, I'd vote for that any day.

Yeah, the Futurama one would be perfect if it were a bit closer up.
