Evilutionary Biologist is a character trope, for villains who engineer transhumans. Not all transhumans are the product of Evilutionary Biologists: they could have been created by the good guys (or the neutral guys), or gained their powers through magic, or aliens, or an Emergency Transformation, for example.

Yeah, Evilutionary Biologist is a villain with an MO of Transhumanism.

So what is the exact difference between this trope and transhumanism in general?
I can think of the following things (from the article):
1. Negative portrayal. 2. Utopia Justifies the Means. 3. Poor grasp of biology and seeing one's work as natural evolution.
The article, however, seems to imply that trying to improve some biological characteristics of humanity (which is the core idea of transhumanism) automatically means this trope.
