Copypasta ho!

  • Name: Siri Frejya Arent.
  • Age: 18.
  • Race: Magical human.
  • Gender: Female.
  • Height/weight: 170cm/about 60kg.
  • Appearance: Yes?
Siri is about 5'7'', and of average weight. Her hair is long and black; she usually leaves it loose. She is of middling bust. He fingers are long, slender, and dexterous — her hands are sometimes likened to white spiders. Beside her usual seifuku, she is very fond of jeans and sweaters; she also likes scarves very much, wearing one all of the time, even when it's summer and hot.
  • Personality: Cloudcuckoolander Book Worm. Siri loves reading, and it sometimes causes her to filter the outside world; one result of this habit is a tough forehead — by now, she's used to walking into people and stuff, usually banging her head. She is also an avid philosopher; in fact, she usually doesn't talk a lot, but when someone mentions philosophy she goes into full Motor Mouth mode, complete with obscure terms and philosophical Buffy Speak. Aside from that, she is a nice person, though she does have a bitter side she does not let many people see.
  • Bio: Siri is the daughter of two famous philosophers. Her parents love her very much, but had... weird ways to show it. Due to all the philosophy she heard at home — in fact, the sole thing her parents rowed about was philosophy — she became interested in the subject and began to read the books in her parents' library, and after some time developed a philosophy of her own (as most philosophers are wont to do).
Her life was pretty normal until a few days before her fifteenth birthday. She was browsing the shelves of her mother's library, looking for a particular book on ontology, when she noticed a tome on one of the shelves that she was pretty sure that wasn't there yesterday. Curious, she took it to her room and opened it. To her surprise, it was written in a script she has never seen before. She tried to decipher it, but to no avail. Frustrated, she closed it and left it on her table, going to eat lunch with her parents. When she came back to her room, she sat down again, staring at the book and thinking. Absentmindedly, she put her left hand on the book; to her surprise, it suddenly floated to face height, opened, and its page began to turn on their own.
Her parents found her three hours later, when they returned from a debate about aesthetics. She was unconscious on the floor, clutching the tome close to her heart. For a week she was in a coma, and when she woke up, she found that she could now understand every language she heard or read. After a while, she found a book in her library which she was sure that wasn't there before. Upon inspection, it showed to be full of her philosophical ideas; it was written in a language long dead.
Since she didn't quite fit in before, now Siri was almost completely isolated; even her parents began to distance themselves from her. She found a way into Little Garden by mistake and decided that she'll fit better with other misfits, so she stayed there.
  • Gifts:
    • The Tome: This large, leather-bound magical tome, titled On the Nature of the Universe, is the source of Siri's magical power, as well as as being a huge source of information. It is possible to find anything and everything in it, but searching for information is a long, confusing affair, and, if the information is particularly hard to find, life-threatening, in proportion to the datum's obscurity. The Tome is semi-sentient, and can move under its own power. Personality-wise, it is rather like a loyal dog; for that reason, Siri sometimes calls it Fido.
It also has a defence mechanism: Should someone unauthorised try to read from it, it will fill their minds with data so complex that will drive all but the most smart and the most stupid into insanity. This mechanism was found about in the hard way when a friend of Siri's tried to read from the book, developed a serious psychosis, and went on a magical killing spree.
The Tome confers the ability to understand, read, write and speak all languages, even dead, obscure or foreign ones. It contains a large Hammerspace, shaped like a library, which Siri uses for storage. It also confers the ability to form ideas and memories into books.
Its defence mechanism can also be used offensively, to muddle the minds of Siri's foes by flooding them with information or ideas.
