A woman can be presented as glamorous without being in a glamorous dress.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.12.2 and 16 are my favorites so far, followed by 5.6, 18.3, and 21.
The current may illustrate "glamorous" (just), "wartime" (through the poster only), and "singer" (not as well as some in this thread), but she's not singing to any of the soldiers far from home and I think a more traditional image will simply fit better here.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The more I think about it, the more I think we're just going to have to compromise on the visual aspect of things. I'll take another look at the examples tonight.
I a little bit puzzled that people don't consider The Andrews Sisters glamorous. They were the height of glamor for their time.

They might have represented glamour in their day but army fatigues, costumed or otherwise, don't really grab the sort of feel "glamour" implies.
Incidentally, 21 is now "410 - Gone".
Moon◊Ah, well, here's a similar screencap◊ I found from the same M*A*S*H episode, which I've put on my own Photobucket so it doesn't similarly vanish.

Boy Scouts ½: the most gratuitous self insert fic, ever! Read, if you dare!Frankly, I don't think glamour is _just_ about the clothes. Some people are insisting on standards that pretty much rule out all the Trope Makers.

Trope makers aren't the only examples though, sometimes they define the trope but they're not good examples in themselves.
10 would be a great candidate for The Chanteuse.
33 is rather light on both the glamor and wartime. I can see a tent and a soldier's berret, but it's not very clear in the image. And even if people can look glamorous without wearing a glamorous outfit, that is overly simplistic.

for the one in 16. I'm also a Macross fan.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?I've hooked a crowner. I didn't add everything that was listed; if there's something you think needs to go in, add it, but let's try not to clog this with too many options.
Monday bump for votes.
If the votes hold steady, I'll call this one tomorrow.
...or I can finally get around to calling it today. The new pic's up, potholed (pretty sure it's a red link), and tagged, and the others have been put on the Image Links page. Caption or no?
Something inspirational?
Check out my fanfiction!Hearing nothing, let's lock up.

Nominations for replacement images:
Even as a big fan of Macross, I'd have to agree with Willbyr. Knowing who Minmei is, I can definitely see how it fits the trope. But if I came in without that knowledge, I might just be thinking, "Who's the anime chick singing Karaoke in front of a poster full of airplanes?"
