Yotsuyasan is a Troper whose main contribution to the TV Tropes website has been the creation of the /BoyScoutsOneHalf work page and example pages. He did not originally sign up for an account at TV Tropes with this in mind, and he does occasionally contribute in other areas when he feels he has something of significance to add. However, the majority of his edits do seem to be associated with the aforementioned work and example pages of his own creation.
He is also the creator of a Ranma One Half based fan fiction series called Boy Scouts ½. Surely this must be a coincidence.
Another work associated with Yotsuyasan is the Yotsuya's Reviews
website, a place where he writes reviews of Transformers toys. Unlike Boy Scouts ½, while this is a work he'd love for you to check out, it is not a work that could support a page of it's own on TV Tropes.
Also, Yotsuyasan maintains a website, Yotsuya's Shipyard, dedicated to showcasing starships he has designed in the aesthetic originating in the first six Star Trek films.
Tropes associated with Yotsuyasan:
- Hardboiled Detective: He is not actually one, but given his habitual wearing of a trenchcoat and fedora, slacks, a button down shirt, and (at the slightest sign of a special event) a tie any time he leaves his home, he definitely seems to like the look associated with a Noir detective.
- Real Life: This seems to be where he exists.
- Self-Insert Fic: When writing fiction, he writes mainly in this style.
- Shameless Self-Promoter: This seems like the inspiration behind the creation of the /BoyScoutsOneHalf work and example pages. They are all about a Ranma One Half Elsewhere Self-Insert Fic that he created and is the main (but not only) author of, called Boy Scouts ½.
- Word of God says he did this as he felt it would be crass to write his own Fanfic Rec, but felt his work might be Troperiffic enough to support itself. (Of course, if anyone else wanted to write a Fanfic Rec, it is likely Yotsuyasan wouldn't mind.)
- This very page could also be seen as an example, by talking about other works by him that may not be trope-worthy enough to make work pages about.
