Yeah, her Twitter is freaking hilarious.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. The concept of Jessica or any of the Defenders even having a Twitter is too much.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Jessica is a social media ninja. Comes with the job.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMy favorite is still the Daredevil Twitter giving Arya Stark advice.
"Don't go into robotics"?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWill the Netflix shows ever reference the Fall of Shield, Sokovia Accords, or the Inhumans outbreak?
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook.SHIELD who? You mean the Agents of NOTHING?
Nobody acknowledges that show. And nobody cares about the discount X-Men Inhumans.
Sokovia Accords would put a dent in the Defenders being an active group and will probably be the Hand Wave for them retreating back into their reclusive corners rather than continuing to work together.
Fall of SHIELD was kind of irrelevant to the Netflix lead characters. At best Coulson should probably be interested in people like Jessica, Danny, and Luke but fat chance he's going to show up. Fury definitely should be, second verse same as the first.
If the Inhumans were referenced it would be a very small nod.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't know, it could actually provide people with powers for them to fight. Like, they don't have to actually explain how they got their powers anymore, just say "Inhuman" and that's it.
They could (and probably will) just say kung fu magic/Hammertech/IGH Chemical X exposure instead. I loved the idea of Terrigen in the fish population and ultimately the water supply giving rise to mutants I mean Inhumans the world over, but we're past the point where that can really be integrated elegantly into the higher-profile shows and movies. They'd basically have to reintroduce the whole premise and have a second wave of exposure, likely in another show or movie.
They kind of did integrate it, they were just not very obvious about it. Like, when Luke Cage is hurt the hospital is all "oh, he is one of those", and in Iron Fist the psychiatrist is all "yeah, there are people suddenly thinking to have special powers". The increase of people with some sort of power is referred to, they just never mention the reason - well, they kind of can't because even in Agents of Shield the reason is classified. It is not like there was a big article in the newspaper "beware of the fish!!!".
Remember that the Netflix shows are intentionally a few years behind the rest of the MCU. I know in Jessica Jones, SHIELD was still in the middle of its civil war. The Terrigen spread might occur some time during or after Defenders, but right now the events of the show are too far removed to reference.
Jessica Jones was set roughly around the time of Age of Ultron. The spread happens in the months after it and as soon as Luke Cage rolls around powered people have suddenly become something which people take as something what just happens from time to time. That's what I mean when I say that the Netflix shows kind of acknowledge it, just not directly.
Jessica Jones: Who the hell are you?
Matt Murdock: ...wait, wait, am I in the wrong room? Shit tell me I'm at least at the police station.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!To be fair Matt is Jessica's (and presumably Luke's) actual lawyer. He has a reason to be there as per his civilian identity.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."There's no way the Hand doesn't know Daredevil is Matt at this point. They're mystical ninjas, first of all, masters of stealthy surveillance who've been in his house, but they also have both Elektra and possibly Stick by the time the Defenders gets going. They must know. The mask is just for any random bystanders, I would assume.

I'm guessing the "people will put two and two together" is referring to the general populace and not the Hand. The Hand definitely knows.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I got that, but they're fighting the Hand, who are pretty secretive themselves and whose big strengths are corruption and numbers. There probably aren't a ton of people in that restaurant who don't know.
Isn't everyone suspecting they might end up doing "Born Again" for season 3 of Daredevil? I think it's very likely that Matt's identity will be discovered will be touched on eventually. And in the trailer Mrs. Sigourney Weaver says the more attachments they have the more vulnerable they are to the Hand. That sound like Foggy/Karen will be a target before the mini-series is over.
I think it might be too early. His life already screwed up and we need some form of Bullseye before that.
We need to have him fix his life slightly and have him meet Bullseye.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."But doesn't Karen need to be alive for Born Again? Honest to God, I'm worried they'll be edgy and have Bullseye show up at the end of Born Again to kill Karen. You might be on to something though with the consistent rumors that Bullseye is supposed to show up in season 3. It really depends when they are letting Kingpin out of prison.
Karen does need to be alive for it. I don't think Bullseye would murder her this soon. This seems like something they'd save for season 4/5. Bullseye doesn't even show up in Born Again but since he's such an iconic character of the DD mythos who messes with Matt's life, I think he needs to show up beforehand. And Matt's life needs to be mildly more stable so Fisk can destroy it.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I can imagine them using Bullseye instead of Nuke if they do Born Again. Or if they did use Nuke, they'd have Bullseye supplant him.
Just as long as he kills someone with an M&M, I'll be happy.
Wait...they are in a restaurant? I kind of assumed that Danny ordered out fancy again....anyway, if Matt is known as the lawyer of the Superheroes, he can show himself with them in public whenever he wants. It is after all mostly his blindness which protects him from being discovered.

I was thinking something similar. Nuke's subplot in Born Again would be hard to adapt because its entire shtick is the Avengers coming to the rescue at the 11th hour. Can't really do that on tv.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."
I love Jessica's tweets.
