Gotta work harder at body language when you can't use your eyes. But seriously, Charlie Cox delivers a compelling monologue with just his voice and no eye contact, and that's actually pretty impressive.
Shit, something I didn't notice earlier: if those dudes in the hallway fight are members of the Hand (and they most likely are), then I think they're actually trying to make the Hand more diverse than in Daredevil.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? That actually starts in Iron Fist, credit where it's due.
This one is still his best:
Because it accurately sums up the character's entire dichotomy (between law and justice) and shows how he is able to somehow respect the law and also operate outside of it. There's also no soundtrack and nothing, just Charlie Cox schooling everyone.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Fix the embedding, please?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Edited a direct link in. The embbeding is correct, I think, seems to be just a bug.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."The forum code won't work with time markers in the You Tube ID, seems like.
Edit: If the Hand wasn't going to give any explanation for themselves, and if Stick wasn't going to do it for them, another couple of Charlie Cox monologues could've gone a long way to shoring up exactly what the show meant by these faceless murderous hordes. I don't think they're supposed to be the blank, empty vessels that they are, in a show as thematically as Daredevil, but if the show was trying to go somewhere with the Hand, I don't think it got there.

I think, at least in Daredevil, they aren't meant to be any more developed than being this large, ominous, unstoppable force. They exist to foreshadow the Defenders, and give Matt an excuse to decide he needs to go off the deep end. They definitely should have had more revealed about them, but the show is really trying to keep their cards hidden. I think the Hand is actually handled a little better in Iron Fist. At least I like the conspiracy elements they added, and making them diverse really helped too.
The colors are always so strong in the Netflixverse.
The room is distinctly bluish-purple when Jessica's the focus of the scene. The scenery and the bus are golden when Luke's the focus. There's some greenish-blackish-yellow when Danny's on-screen. And when Stick says "the Devil of Hell's Kitchen" there's a fire siren flaring to Matt's lower left.
Also love how Danny was jockeying into position, Matt's punching a guy in the back, Elektra's stalking closer, Luke and Jessica take out two guys and then Danny's like, "let me have my turn!" then runs in and jump-kicks the last guy.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Here's an analysis on the color work in the trailer. You're apparently very correct, Soble.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."-brandishes gold star all-too-proudly-
The change in color tint's even in the less important scenes is one of my favorite things about the Netflix shows. The little bits of purple that were always in the shot whenever Jessica thought Kilgrave might be around. The mix of red and purple at Cottonmouth's club.
Matt standing under the red light during Season 2 is still my favorite scene. Well, second to the original hallway fight.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yeah, that was one thing which bothered me about Iron Fist...why the hell was the intro grey? Where was the green? There were a few greenish shots, but since they mostly turned up whenever the Hand was involved, it wasn't really clear if it represented Danny or the Hand. Danny was mostly running around in grey....
I thought they'd dropped the ball there too, but looking at a Google image search of Danny Rand, I think they were trying to emphasize the black dragon tattoo on Danny's chest, as well as some depictions of Danny's costume that seem to be a much darker, grayish green.
Either that or whoever animated the intro thought that martial arts stances looked cooler in silhouette. It's one of many problems I had with Iron Fist, among everything else, even the color symbolism is off.
At least they added a few yellow sparks that flew off of Danny's fists and feet.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I thought the intro was just a really dark green.
It's more of a blue-grey than green.
Oh nice. I'm surprised they started filming so soon.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I am not. They have already filmed Punisher and Jessica Jones. It makes sense to prepare the next show in line.
Oh, I didn't realize they finished filming Jessica Jones, actually.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Well, I suppose they did....they wanted to film it back to back with the Defenders.
Oh, that makes sense.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I didn't know they'd even started on Punisher...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!They did punisher towards the end of last year already.
So Lucy Liu's been spotted near the set of Luke Cage.

Word on the street is, she's either appearing on the show or directing an episode.
His closing statement was actually pretty solid. Problem was Frank deciding to go to jail out of his own volition.
Matt also has the tendency to stop dead on his tracks, grip his walking cane, and look down menacingly. It instantly makes everything he's saying 100 times more dramatic. He even does it in the Defenders trailer right after he announces himself.
