Technically a crosspost from when we tried this on another forum, so...

So yeah, Digimon is an online virtual reality game, in which you get to interact with monsters, life-like NPC's, and even other players. Eventually. Once the game is released.

Still in its testing stage, several beta players are currently playing some preliminary missions and tasks, making sure there aren't any terrible glitches or something. Because no one wants bugs in their VR games, right? They should be finalising the testing around now, so not much left to test before the game becomes a best-selling phenomenon. With any luck!

And of course, there totally won't be a nasty surprise awaiting the beta players. Because the programmers didn't put one in, and it's not like a game can code up some unknown monstrosity all by itself or something. That'd be silly.

• Other Forms: Any Armour/DNA/Alternate In General Modes they'd end up obtaining at some point?

• CONTINUOUS PROSE ONLY. I cannot stress this enough; this is a continuous prose RP. NO SCRIPT FORMAT POSTS. It just looks lazy and makes you look like you don't care enough to write a proper post.

• Age: 14, real and in-game.
• Appearance: "I stole a sign post! Best glitch ever!"
• Personality: A friendly and optimistic person, but also incredibly bossy and controlling, always attempting to regulate things to her design. She also doesn't like not getting her way, or admitting when she's wrong. Still, she tends to harbor no grudges and forgive rather easily - an hour or two after the initial conflict, at least.

• Appearance: Kaori is small, to the point where you'd peg her age at around ten or less rather than thirteen. She has pale brown eyes, and neck-length brown hair with red and yellow highlights, for some reason. She's wearing a pale pink hooded sweatshirt that's a bit too big for her over a yellow T-shirt, a short white skirt, pink and purple hooped tights and pink high-top trainers.
• Personality: Kaori can best be described as relentlessly cheerful and slightly hyperactive. Of course, at the same time she's something of a space case, barely being able to concentrate on anything for very long.
• Digivice: Think a D-Arc minus the card slot coloured in White with Bronze and Red accents.

• Personality: Kumiko is an avid gamer and fan of anime and manga. She has a deep enjoyment of such media, and tends to spend all her free time on that sort of thing. In addition, Kumiko is a rather shameless pervert towards cute girls of all sorts. In game, she's liable to flirt with any girls she comes across. She's very outgoing and friendly in-game, as well. In real life, she's more nervous and even skittish, though she's still friendly if she gets to know someone, and still rather shamelessly perverse towards cute girls. That said, she feels more comfortable communicating in some other manner than face-to-face, unless she knows the person she's speaking with already. While she doesn't completely resent her childish, immature appearance, she does wish she had a more mature body. This is largely because she believes it would make it easier to get cute girls. This is reflected by her in-game avatar. She's generally more confident in games then in real life. While it wouldn't be right to call her shy, her nervousness and lower confidence levels are a marked difference between how she acts in games and in real life.

I'm somewhat interested in this, though my Digimon knowledge is severely lacking. Will this be an issue?

Also, do Digimons chosen have to have all evolutionary stages from Fresh to Mega or can something be cut? I was setting my eyes on Commandramon, to be specific.

All Digimon go through those evo-stages, though Rookie tends to be the 'base' stage. The Babies are largely irrelevant, unless you've just hatched a Digimon, and the In-Training form is essentially an energy-conserving form if a Digimon's used up a ton of power.

It's been a long time since I've longed for a Digimon RP. Nice to find one right after I return to TV Tropes. =P

• Age: 14

• Personality: The Determinator and The Challenger inside a skinny boy's body, surprising anyone who'd judge him from stereotypes right off the bat. Even though he is a ditz most of the time and an average tamer at best, his Trial and Error tactics and perseverance is what distinguishes him as a tamer. He is prone to explore the whole game and face all kinds of enemies just to get a taste of battle, even if it means facing a Mega Digimon with his Rookie. Although friendly, some people can't keep up with his energetic personality and eccentricies.

• Personality: The curious, energetic kind of Digimon. Although he isn't a Blood Knight like his trainer (especially because he's the one on the receiving end), Agni has little complaints about traveling around, discovering new areas and having an adventure. He'd only wish his tamer wasn't so careless and prone to dragging him into trouble.

Tamer

• Name: Ben Taylor/βeater (That's how it's typed when he registered, but for ease of typing in this RPG, he'll be referred to as Beater)
• Age: 16 (IRL)/20 (VR)
• Appearance: Real Life and Avatar
• Personality: In real life, he is anti-social (not in the sense that he is a dick, but rather he doesn't really talk with other people), secluding his life to playing video games. It's not reflected at all in the Digital World. In the Digital World, Ben feels more confident when he's in the form of Beater. Though it's like he's a different person, as he roleplays as a tough-as-nails person. As Beater, he likes a good challenge so long as it's not to the death. He is known to break his Beater character when asked about his life in the real world.

  : To say May was hotblooded would be rather inaccurate. To say that her veins flow with a liquid that burns hotter than a thousand suns would be doing her far more justice. She throws as much passion and enthusiasm as possible into any activity, no matter how small, and then some. It's just a game, after all, so she should have as much fun as possible, right? Yes, it's just a game, which may explain why she's likely to just rush forward and try to beat up Digimon herself rather than let her partner handle it. All things considered, sometimes it seems like she's channeling the spirit of Kamina, really.

• Personality: First and foremost, Saki wants to have fun playing. It's true that being victorious, triumphing over other players and such is important, but what's so satisfying in a colorless, dull victory? As such, she often handicaps herself and her Digimon, wanting to have a clear, even and enjoyable fight. Make no mistake though, she expects fair play from her opponent as well. If they cheat, she will go out of her way to cheat as well. In real-life, quite a popular and liked amongst her classmates, but doesn't seem to be able to find herself the one she could call a boyfriend(or a girlfriend, no big deal). There's a little hope that she might find someone like that in the game.
• Digivice: A brown variation of the standard issue one.

• Species: Commandramon
• Nickname: Dangan

HUMAN

• Name: Yukimura Yumeko, Yume
• Age: 27, 27
• Appearance: Both.◊ Unfortunately, this expression means she's seen something cute.
• Personality: Does not seem to know the meaning of 'common sense'. At least, not through experience. If left on her own, she'll injure herself trying to do something simple, come up with a ridiculously outlandish way of trying to do something simple, or not realise it needs doing at all. Like cooking. Give her rice and she'll think it's ready to eat the way it is. In short: Yumeko has no survival skills at all.
  On the other hand, she's a pleasant person, when not accidentally producing nightmare fuel by accident, and is almost universally friendly. Good for dealing with tempers and upset people, not for actually getting anything done. Pure cloudcuckoolander, combined with quietness. Does not have Yakuza links in RL at all. Totally.
