Does Not Illustrate: Get Back Here Boss

To my knowledge, the water only comes on screen if Sonic's lagging behind Dr. Robotnik. I may be wrong, though.

Besides, I can't find said picture.

I don't think any suggestion is an improvement.

labyrinth zone doesnt look like an improvement to me either. and looking back on my suggestions now i dont know what i was thinking with those. still though in the current image i think the fact that robotnik is facing sonic is a huge detriment to the image conveying the trope

It's a little difficult to see the direction it's going, but otherwise good. The second, at least.

I don't see it moving away at all. I prefer current.

That's what I'm afraid of.

That's why I had both pictures instead of one, in case the other isn't obvious (the clue in the second picture that you're "chasing" the Sand Scorpion is the fact that the Sand scorpions are underneath the middle port of a trial of rings (those glowing things), and the fact that there's dust clouds by the Sand scorpion's left legs that implies it moved its legs there, and if you look carefully at its right legs, you can see that those are in the air).

These are running towards each other.

Actually, Sand Scorpion is running backwards.

The dust cloud by his left legs imply that.

Who says that the boss has to face away from the player in order for it to count as this example?

Yeah, I know it's not the ideal picture, but it's the best that I could come up with so far.

Actually, it seems pretty clear to me that the scorpion is moving away from sonic. There are plenty of visual motion hints such as the way the level is designed and motion blurs around the boss. Im in favor of this suggestion, myself.

29.2 is the strongest contender, but I don't think it's quite dynamic enough to displace the current.

The thing is, people are complaining that the current picture is not demonstrating, even though you can tell by looking at the picture properly.

Uh, I wasn't complaining when i started this thread. Just pointing out how someone with no experience with sonic might not be able to see it and suggest that we could find a better image. Just, y'know, improving the site ever so slightly. Anywho,

That first one's not bad, but I'd need to see it at wiki size to judge for sure.

Well it DID seem perfect at first (you can resize it by zooming out of the picture using your browser's settings. ), I've realize that it's pretty ambiguous that the ship's a boss.

The only clue to it being a boss is the ship's turrets aiming at Sonic, but even then, you don't know that it's a boss.

I think it's the fact that it doesn't look like a boss fight and more like Sonic's chasing after a ship that's aiming at Sonic, and after looking at it the second time, I've see what looks like a boss (but looked like one of those things that propels the ship in space, at least initially).

Anyway, there should be a crowner.

That's the clearest one yet. I don't think there's much if any ambiguity about whether that's the boss or not. If that isn't, what is?

I mistook it as being part of a ship that Sonic was chasing (ie, it was initially ambiguous to me), so neither the Sand Scorpion nor this boss is better than each other.

So yes, I recommend a crowner.

Well, the ship has guns aimed at Sonic and it's on fire, looks like a battle to me. And Sonic is obviously chasing after it.

But even then, it didn't look like a boss, and it'll be like part of a level where Sonic either fails to get onto the ship or succeeds.

I say crowner, because there's more than one good picture (including this one - I didn't say I didn't like it. ).

I still don't like the Sand Scorpion. It looks just like a normal boss fight, except for a couple really tiny details that would be easily missed.

also if post 42 wins do i get bonus points?
