Exactly What It Says on the Tin
Feel free post your idea for game you wish someone would start or, if you're a GM type person, peruse this thread to see if there's anything that looks interesting that at least one other person has interest in too.
Well, I've had a plot bunny rattling around in my skull for two days, so it's time to let it out. It's a Crossover RP, inspired by a couple of RP's I've seen on these forums in the past.
Let's say that you've been trying to take over the world, going at it again and again but never quite succeeding. Or maybe you've already conquered Earth, and are looking for a bit more of a challenge. Then, one day, you get a message addressed specifically to you and your empire, inviting you to come and take over their world. So, you follow it through some strange pandimensional nebula off in space, and inside, you find a star system with its own little planet. It's got peaceful inhabitants, plentiful resources, and a nice mountain to build a throne on top of; what more could you ask for? Problem: you weren't the only one who got the message. There are others coming to this world from all over the omniverse- Darkseid, Doctor Doom, the Gems of Homeworld, the Irken Empire, the whole shebang -and all of them want a piece of the planetary pie.
Long story short, I propose a game where you play as your favourite villain, group of villains, or perhaps even an entire faction, and try to take over this particular world before the others do. The planet in question would be entirely home-made. I see it as this Battleworld-type collage of environments, with lots of different alien cultures, each with their own foibles. I'd be more than happy to play a part in making said world, I just don't think I can divide my attention enough to run this game.
I've been stewing this idea over for the past few hours, and I dunno about you guys, but I think it'd be fun. Basically, a roleplay involving nothing but Reality Warpers with a bit of Literal Genie.
An RP where each and every character is a Reality Warper in their own way. More of a power to warp a specific part of reality, but not the entirety of it (or maybe not even in significant ways). You get to choose which way that would be, but there's a small catch or two that comes with it. I.E.; Let's say you want the power to make any thrown object turn into a speeding bullet or projectile of the appropriate proportion. Congrats, you can do that now! Toss a rock at someone you hate, and they got shot in the leg. Take potshots at beer bottles with pebbles. Etc. But such a power also makes it so that you can't throw anything WITHOUT it becoming a speeding bullet. Try to toss your friend his car-keys? Bam, new bullet hole in your roof. Need to spit out some old gum? Hope you aren't fond of having intact lips! Want to help your son with his snowball fight? More like snowball fight to the death, and now you're arrested for assault on a minor.
Alternatively, you now can't use conventional projectile weapons without their ammo being turned into useless objects. Pistols shoot out dimes, rocket launchers become T-Shirt cannons, squirt guns dribble out useless syrup...
Something involving a concept like that would be neat to play, I think.

Made a Ace Custom Real Robot RP signup if anyone is interested. May even accept other GMs if I feel the need.

Who's interested in the RP seen here? I wouldn't mind something like that with an original world and setting.
Anybody interested in an RP similar to Age Of Empires?
I'm thinking of a strategy RP inspired by Age Of Empires III.
I'm thinking of starting up a Cyberpunk RP. If anyone would be interested.
All joking aside I really like Yandere School and all...
A few weeks ago I had this odd idea for an Eldritch Girls RP. I, uh, forgot the exact details on it, but I still think something along those lines would be a fun idea.
Can you elaborate? What do you mean Eldritch Girls?
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Someone start/revive this with an original setting!

Take it easy. If someone wants to, they will, but posting here is no guarantee that it will be picked up. And beyond that, if you push it too hard, people might actually turn against the idea.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.I'm imagining stuff like Cthulhu-tan or something
@Hackenfall Backslash: I've been itching for some form of technology vs. magic RP; I could try GMing that, but I'd prefer being a player.
Also, I'm not a fan of the ruleset that seems to be using; I'd go for something more freeform but on the same lines.
You are reading this. That idea reminds me of the To Aru novels.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"There were a few scattered details in my mind regarding the Eldritch Girls RP. So like, one idea was "it's like magical girls, but with the power to use and become horrific mind shattering abominations instead of sparkly justice little ladies." Another idea was "the gods are dead in the modern era and we need a new generation of gods, but as it turns out gods are something beyond man's comprehension." I think I also wanted to explore the twin femininity and madness symbolism of the moon? Just a sort of mess of ideas rather than anything super concrete that I'm sure can be worked with.
This post was thumped by the Eldritch Flyswatter of Horror
Silence, you! I'm taking it easily enough.
I'm sure the guy who kept insisting on a Literary crossover in the vein of The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen would have said the same.

Someone kept insisting someone make that every five posts. That's why I was quick to warn you not to do the same. People were getting sick and tired of it when he did it. I didn't want history repeating itself.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve. It's hard to keep up with this site. As a digest wikipedia that tells us about the subjective devices called tropes (talking about this site), I find myself getting lost in the forum's layout. Had no idea what you were talking about. I should point out that I wasn't rabid like that guy. All caps would've been rabid. Speaking of this, what happened to that fellow anyway?
You posted the same thing twice, with just five posts and 25 hours apart.
How do you even get confused with a simple thread?
Oi. I get confused. Abnormal sleep patterns, lack of energy drinks, getting lost on the best site ever (Encyclopedia Dramatica) and working on my novel makes me a bit slow sometimes. We ALL have them days, do we not? And I only posted twice?

He wasn't using all caps. He was doing what it looked like you were doing.

I'm all for watching that train wreck from the sidelines. :3
