This trope is about welding representing building.
If these two shows averted examples, then I don't know what to suggest.

I don't know for sure if this◊ is actually one of the MythBusters welding, but it's on a page that talks about their shop must-haves, so I'm good with associating it with them.

I'd go with the first of the two from the OP in the white hard hat. We don't have to ask, "But he is building something, isn't he?" like the caption does.
