But it's not one, even if it's on the page. Twilight Zone was an anthology show, and those were, at that time, generally hosted (intro and outro) by the producer or creator, rather than an actor playing a part. Alfred Hitchcock did the same thing. So did Walt Disney.

It doesn't really show that he's supposed to be a movie character though. The scene doesn't look like it's a movie scene at all. And even so, there's no indication that the movie he appeared in is something he created.
