The advantage of Fey, in my eyes, is that she's someone Cecil has gone out of his way to try to help, thus earning a thank you. Which is unusual for him; the closest I can recall to him doing anything active for any the others Wack'd mentioned are helping sell Janice's cookies and trying to raise awareness of Tamika's parade- neither of which sound like the sort of thing that earns a cryptic thanking to me.

My first thought was Fey also.

But I'm waiting for further information.

Also, more things about how Cecil doesn't know how old he is.

Oh, wow, I'd actually forgotten about Fey until now. That makes a lot of sense, actually

New episode, "BRINY DEPTHS". Some...interesting, shall we say, revelations in this one including one which I totally called.

I really wanna see more of Earl, too.

And I have to eat my words. In my defence, the response to my anti-Dana thoughts (that he'd never actually done anything to help) was something I couldn't possibly have guessed.

Also, Cecil just became a significantly less reliable narrator, which is a bit of a thing. I mean, he's never been 100% reliable, but that whole bit with Intern Hector at the end of Antiques... what was really going down there? The idea of Cecil just flat out making stuff up because he's crazy is a bit of a dangerous one for the series to seriously toss around, y'know?

I don't think Cecil's crazy. I mean, no crazier than he was before this revelation. I have no doubt something or someone is messing with Cecil's memories even more than usual. I assume all the discussions with Earl regarding both their lacks of memories are foreshadowing, or are also pieces of the puzzle.

Or maybe I'm wrong and Cecil is just suppressing his memories of being a hero (his choice of word, I noticed) because he doesn't think Night Vale needs heroes, or because he wants to retain his separation from the events like a good journalist; but then I don't think it'd be made this big a deal of. (And the award for most awkwardly structured sentence goes to...)

We don't know what angle the photo was taken in it could have been Kevin. I have a secret theory about what he is so saving Dana could be furthering his interests in some way.

Darn it Earl you give us an recipe people can survive and it has meat in it. Why do I even bother listening to your segment.

There needs to be a star named My Dog.

Also, holy cow that weather was awesome.

I don't think stars are very expensive (unless tv has been lying to me) so I hope someone does. I wonder how the seeing through walls and then stopping seeing through walls to prevent them for crashing into an unseen wall experiment is going for Joesph.

I finally started listening to this because I kept seeing it around here. I'm up to Carlos calling about the time slowdown.

So. Did anyone here buy the Maureen dying fake-out? Because I didn't.

I am totally expecting Maureen to turn out to be immortal now.

Yes and no. I thought that Larry Leroy confusingly naming his kitten Larry Leroy was setting up for a reveal that there were two Intern Maureens (perhaps two Maureen Leroys?), the one Ms. Johnson voiced in Old Oak Doors and one that was to die a horribly gruesome death so I figured it was just the Maureen we are less attached to that died.

I bought it. This episode was a bit darker in tone than I've come to expect from the series, though. I wonder where they're going with this now.

It looks like my suspicions Dana is a more morally grey character then she appears has some credibility now.

[up][up]The City Council took her and...did something with her, though. Forget which episode it was, but she tried opening the Dog Park to the public, and the city council took her in; now she's saying the same mindless stuff as they...

One thing that's been concerning me about her is that in the scene where she meets her future self her family's reaction to seeing her at her present age was to cry and try to run away.

Edit: Her plot has been going on for too long for me to believe that she's just letting things happen to her, at some point she must have made decisions for herself that lead to whatever she was supposed to do, I can't say for sure this means she's reaping what she sows (interns being disaster prone and all) but it makes narrative sense for her to.

Book news:

The Night Vale novel will be about Jackie (the owner of the pawn shop) and Diane (PTA treasurer who has a shapeshifting son) predicting now that Josh's father (who is also mentioned) isn't TMITTJ because that seems too obvious (maybe it's Earl?).
