I think it fits better on Zany Scheme.
Nah, it's good.
And while I think the suggestion is an improvement, I don't think the current is just text. There is the context of it being a wanted ad in a newspaper.

Check out my fanfiction! The current image makes a better quote than the current quote.
The suggestion is a nod better.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI agree. Also, we already decided against that image in Zany Scheme.
Is the part were "we decided against it" the part where I said it fits better here, or are you referring to something else?
Check out my fanfiction!I actually don't mind the pic on Noodle Implements; you can tell it's from a classified listing so that takes it out of "might as well be a page quote" territory for me.
I like the current image, and I think it works because you can tell it's in a newspaper. If it's replaced, I'd say we should make it the new page quote.
I agree; it's not "just text" in the context it's presented. Keep.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Considering the trope Noodle Implements has nothing to do with newspapers, it strikes me as at best irrelevant. It would be better to show some noodle implements in the picture, rather than talking about them.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! That's pretty much why I think it's an improvement. It illustrates the actual implements, rather than just having text mentioning them.
The current wouldn't lose a whole lot if converted to a plain text quotation, and would then also work better than the current one on the page.

Check out my fanfiction! No, it isn't about newspapers. It about people listing (apparently unrelated) items that indicate something bizarre is going to happen, but with no explanation. A classified ad looking for a list of unrelated items with no explanation of how they're going to be used is an illustration of the trope.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
The image on Noodle Implements is a picture of a newspaper clipping; that is, it's just a line of text that happens to be in GIF format. I don't think that's a good illustration.
I suggest the last panel from this comic.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
