The Nut job. Three things come to mind when I hear this:
1.An animated movie about a squirrel who robs from a greedier squirrel.
2.An animated movie about a crazed cartoon man.
3.An internet short about blowjobs.
All-in-all:Terrible, lazy, and do not want!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI disagree, looks pretty good and funny to me. Now, would it be good *as a full length movie?* We'll see...
Lost hope when I saw it wa sbeing made by a Canadian studio. Canada can't make cartoons, I'm sorry, hard truth.
Easy street has no parking signs. You will eat your words.
My angry rant blog!I can't take that title seriously.

The exact point the title exists.
My angry rant blog!Funny thing is, Vanguard (the guys that did Space Chimps and Valiant) was also gonna do a squirrel heist film parody, but Vanguard is apparently no longer a thing. As far as I know, this project has nothing to do with Vanguard.
Squirrels, and rodents in general, have been starring in cartoons since nearly a century ago. If you're gonna do an animated movie about rodents, find something fresh with it. This trailer so far shows none of that.
Interestingly, the guy who created the pitch for this based it on a short that I got to see at the 2005 Ottawa Animation Show. Yes. 2005. It took him THAT LONG to get a company to greenlight this. And if you can imagine, the short had no budget for fur, feathers, or even advanced lighting or camera work so it looks even WORSE than this.
Could be worse. Could be Food Fight.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIf one of them is wearing a headset and says "you're gonna love my nuts", then it will all be worth it.
The title alone is a double entendre. Given how this is an American production aimed at Americans, expect more nut jokes.
So, yeah. Found a trailer for it on TV. Created by the company, Openroad, it now makes sense why it looks so bland from other big names. I'd like to think of it as Hammy's all-grown up adventure.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThis thing looks like an Alpha and Omega-grade trainwreck.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. It's okay to not like something or expect it to be bad. It is not okay, however, to compare it to Alpha and Omega.
Also, this.

My angry rant blog!Because, as underrated as it was, Alpha and Omega was a beautifully animated comedy romance with a pretty much "Wedged-in" sequel?

Damn does this look terribly uninteresting. I'd wager it'd will even fail harder than Dinoasur 2: Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie.
has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the timeI wonder how the pitch for this film even got picked up?
Creator:"Hey, I got this great idea for a kids comedy movie: How about we use the general idea and plot around G Force and The Penguins Of Madagascar and Over The Hedge and other small animals torturing human foes cartoons; BUT WITH SQUIRELS!!?!?!!!!???!!!!1!"
Director:"Can we make the title an inside joke for the single immature manchild who will watch this?"
C:"Heck yeah! But let's be creative. Should we just use the word "Nut"?"
D:"Tee hee, you said nut. I like it! IT'S GOLDEN GLOBE GOOD!"
C:"I know!"
D:"Do we have to pay the animators a lot of money?"
C:"Only gum and handshakes."
D:"Finally, are we stupid and uncreative for this idea?"
C:"Hell yes, sir. Hell yes."
\*Gets deal*
Honestly, I'd rather watch something that's not at all "good", but at least it's original enough to sound hipster:
Seconding your wager, Yeow. I almost thought we were over stupid ideas dragging American animation in general down like this after seeing something legitimately good like Frozen in theatres. All I can muster up is this... "Fuck the nuts who did this job in the ass!"
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.According to the latest tv trailer, this has Gangnam style wedged into it somehow. So it's guaranteed to suck now
This is 10 day old news now.
My angry rant blog!
It exists, but there was no thread for it.
